Invisalign orthodontic aligners are clear plastic trays that could help correct your crowded or misaligned teeth without the need for uncomfortable and unaesthetic metal braces and brackets. The teeth are moved gradually, with a new set of clear trays every fortnight, until the desired level of movement is achieved. The plastic trays are comfortable to use and can be worn daily (including overnight). What are the types of orthodontic treatments? Braces – Traditional metal or modern ceramic brackets are attached to each tooth and an archwire is threaded through. Plates – Plates are small plastic devices that can be used in the mouth to push teeth in to the desired position or hold them in place. Unlike traditional braces which are attached to the teeth, plates can be taken in and out of the mouth.
