Where do I begin? Mr El Gawad is a charming gentleman and a brilliant surgeon who takes his work and continuing professional development very seriously. It is clear from both his demeanour and that of every member of his team that they have the utmost respect and consideration for their clients and for each other. Everyone, from Mr El Gawad to the domestic staff, was kind and caring at all times. I felt that I was in the safest and most capable hands from the first time I met Mr El Gawad. He was able to answer all my questions (I had prepared quite a few) and met with me on two separate occasions before I booked my operation. I never felt under any pressure. In fact, I actually felt confident that I had chosen the best surgeon during our first meeting, having seen some images of his previous surgeries and from chatting with him. I was not disappointed with my decision. I had my surgery (full abdominoplasty with liposuction and abdominal muscle repair) at Whiston Hospital which is a high-tech, modern hospital with a dedicated plastics department (I believe it’s the second largest in the UK). Every aspect of my stay at the hospital was excellent. The standard of care was exceptional from every member of staff. I am convinced that was the reason I recovered very quickly; I had my surgery on a Saturday, I was completely free of painkillers by the following Tuesday and back home on a Thursday. It has been four months since my operation and I feel fantastic! I am fit and strong although I am still not allowed to lift heavy weights or do abdominal crunches which is simply a sensible precaution. I should mention that not only do I have a flat tummy which is great but I also have a very tidy and natural-looking relocated belly button and perfectly symmetrical abdominal scar which is hidden nicely behind my new bikini briefs which I was unable to wear pre-op. Mr El Gawad is an artist when it comes to “contouring” because my tummy and flanks are beautifully smooth; even better than pre-childbirth! Mr El Gawad’s Secretary, Rachel, also deserves a mention as she was and continues to be very friendly, helpful and accessible, always striving to provide excellent customer service. I could go on and on. I just wish that I had had the surgery years ago. I am more than happy to recommend Mr Plastic Surgeon.

I had a telephone consultation, then a face to face conversation (all due to coronavirus restrictions). He is professional, kind and reassuring, funny and a super guy! Someone who can put you at ease straight away. Rachel is a godsend and they make a perfect team. You are in excellent hands with Mr El Gawad and I have no hesitation in recommending him for your surgery.
