A Life-Changing Experience – Thank You, Lisa For 27 years, I’ve had a complicated relationship with my body. While I’ve always been deeply grateful for what it has done—especially supporting me through the birth of my amazing, healthy children—I’ve also carried a deep sense of shame about my excess skin and muscle separation. This internal conflict brought with it a constant undercurrent of guilt. I felt blessed to be a mother, yet I was quietly grieving the body I once knew. I spent so much energy trying to hide my tummy, feeling anxious about getting changed in front of others, avoiding certain types of exercise because the skin would get in the way, and struggling with lower back pain, constipation, and a lack of confidence in intimate moments—all of it linked to how I felt about my abdomen. My experience at the Nuffield Hospital was equally positive. The care was exceptional, and even the food was wonderful! Lisa prepared me thoroughly for surgery, ensuring I was informed not just physically, but emotionally. I felt ready and supported at every stage. The surgery went smoothly, and during my two-night stay, the care from the entire team was outstanding. What has truly set this journey apart, though, is the aftercare. Lisa’s approach is deeply compassionate—she makes you feel heard, understood, and genuinely cared for. And the results? I feel reborn. I am absolutely thrilled—not only with my flat tummy, my beautifully shaped belly button, and strong abdominal muscles—but with how I feel in myself. My confidence has returned. My scar is barely noticeable — thin, flat, and a testament to Lisa’s remarkable skill and artistic eye. She is, quite simply, a sculptor. This journey has been one of the greatest acts of self-love I’ve ever undertaken. I’m endlessly grateful to Lisa and her team for helping me feel strong, empowered, and whole again.

If I could give the Centre for Surgery a million stars I would! The whole process from the phone call, consultation and surgery itself was absolutely seamless and couldn’t gone better. Coming from someone with a severe needle phobia and not feeling comfortable in a medical setting I felt so comfortable from start to finish. I had an Otoplasty with Dr Michail Vourvachis today and yet I don’t feel any pain and feel like my normal self. All the nurses, reception team and anaesthetists were so kind, caring and attentive especially given that I was so nervous. Dr Michail Vourvachis truly is a one-of-a-kind surgeon, with incredible attention to detail and incredible at calming me down for my procedure. In my initial consultation, he explained absolutely everything I needed to know and I had no questions as he had already answered them all. He is not only an expert in what he does but he is such a kind and caring person who will help put anyone at ease. A huge shoutout to the nurses who were there by my side throughout the whole process. I was so anxious and yet they are all so kind and looked after me so well. And a massive shoutout to the anaesthetist who calmed me down and made me laugh. Thank you so much to the reception team for answering all my questions and being so kind and informative! I’m one of those people who are quite difficult to calm down when I’m anxious and yet everyone genuinely calmed me down and made me feel reassured and looked after. They really did go above and beyond! I have my check-up consultation next week but I couldn’t help to write a review immediately because of how perfect the whole process has been. I’ve had other consultations previously from Harley Street and nothing has come close to how incredible the whole team are here. If anyone is doing their research into where to have surgery I will recommend the Centre for Surgery immediately. I felt like I was in such safe hands. Thank you all so much I am so grateful!

I had a gastric sleeve done in May 2019. I have lost just shy of 5 stone in 1 year. I was very hesitant to do the operation at age 22 but it's the best decision I ever made. Mr. Awad was kind and efficient throughout and the Tonic team have been constantly supporting me. The op went very smoothly and the lift to and from the Derby hospital and London was such a considerate feature. The first 3-4 weeks are tough but completely worth it. I'm well adjusted to my new stomach now. I don't feel like I'm deprived of anything. I feel like now my body isn't always working against me and gaining weight disproportionately. I feel totally in control of my weight and have been quite effortlessly shedding kilos! Thank you Mr. Awad & Tonic for getting me to feel like myself again!
