Breast lift with breast reduction and implant change. This was the second surgery that I had within the two weeks time I was in Cancun. The second surgery did not go quite as well as the first surgery which was my facelift. Unfortunately, during my facelift, we discovered that I had extremely thin skin and a bleeding disorder. So the doctor knew that he had quite a bit of challenge ahead of him. Because my skin was so thin it was in my best interest to pop my current implants wait for a couple days to see if my tissue regenerate, and then to see if I was a candidate for the rest of the procedures.
My Patient Liaison Robin, was very reassuring energetic passionate about her job concerning caring and encouraging. She drove me everywhere from picking me up from the airport to the hospital to the clinic to the pharmacy back to my room.
The day came and I got to have the procedure. I went from a double D cup down to a c cup. And all I could think about were the endless possibilities that I was going to have now that I was smaller in the chest. One of which was shopping in the normal person size clothing. Unfortunately my body did not respond as well as most people's would. And I had drains put in but I was still bleeding internally. Not from anything that the doctors did, but my own genetics unfortunately. But what surprised me the most, is the doctor, without hesitation, quickly sent me over to the hospital for an ultrasound. His concern was for me. His concern wasn't about his reputation or about what I thought or about what people would assume, his concern was about me and my well-being. I did actually have a couple of blood clots that needed to be surgically removed. And while this was extremely disheartening, the alternative could have been worse. Again chances of this happening to you are extremely slim to none. I just have very poor genetics and just wasn't aware of it until I went to Mexico. So essentially I had breast surgery and then I had to have them opened back up to have the blood clots removed.
Somewhere in there something happened. Because now I'm back home in the United States, and my breasts are two different sizes. The nipples are at completely different angles. And I'm kind of disappointed in how they turned out. I have a feeling it's because he had to open the left breast all the way up and resucher it and that's why it's smaller, which again I'm grateful that a blood clot didn't break loose and I have a stroke or something,
So I'm glad that he took out the blood clot, but I am a little disappointed at the size difference. I'm a little self-conscious about wearing t-shirts and I noticed that I'm standing a little bit funny too kind counterbalance the size difference. I think the doctor and the staff know exactly what they're doing. I think they have all the tools that they need to do a great job. There doesn't seem to be any language barriers or questions in my head after I communicate with the staff, I just think for me, this decision probably wasn't the best decision at this time in my life.
Since I've been home, a couple of weeks, I have developed a large seroma in the right breast. I did contact the clinic immediately and they did advise me to go see a doctor as soon as I could. My husband and I spent several days calling around to our state and the neighboring 3 States, but we cannot find somebody that is willing to treat me, because I am technically somebody else's patient. If I were to go through this process again, I would certainly recommend this clinic, but I would also allow yourself enough time to heal comfortably before you came home. I had a two-week time limit. And I strongly suggest that you do not try to be a tourist during that time. You need this time to rest and heal. But I think that you should offer yourself a little bit of lattitude, if you are not feeling that your healing procedure is on track, you should allow yourself a few extra days. I did not have this luxury.
Would I recommended this Clinic? Yes I would. But I do think that the nurse during my first procedure, sochi, was much more professional and personable then the second set and nurses that I had.
