Chartered Physiotherapist with 25 years experience. Completed 2 Masters Degrees in Manual Therapy and Musculoskeletal Health. From early in my career I began practicing and teaching yoga and pilates and began to develop a holistic approach. This led me to studying craniosacral therapy and later visceral manipulation and somatic movement education. Most recently I've been delving deeply into study of trauma and the Nervous System as it is so involved in any chronic health problems.  As a result I have a very holistic approach that is suited both to acute injuries and chronic longstanding problems. My main interests are women's health (pelvic health/pre and post natal) and pain.  Holistic bodywork sessions will usually address body parts away from the site of pain because of the interconnectness of the fascial system.  I also teach  yoga and workshops/courses on pelvic health and the nervous system.

I had always been interested in healing throughout my adult life, but was not ready to explore it until recent years. Up until 2004, I worked in a job which held little stimulation for me and I lived mainly for  weekends. When I was made redundant in 2004 , I decided to use the opportunity to finally follow my dream. I began by studying Neuro-Muscular Therapy and Sports Massage, because of my keen interest in football, and enjoyed the courses immensely. During my first year as a qualified Neuro-Muscular therapist, I developed a strong interest in Reiki healing, and qualified as a Reiki and Seichim Master in 2007.  I found that many aspects of my life began to change in a positive way, and still continue to change. After completing all the levels of Reiki/Seichim, I went on to do further  energy work with Kathleen Milner (founder of Tera-Mai Reiki), including working with Sakara and Cahokia energies. While working part-time as a Sports Massage and Reiki therapist, I returned to College, this time to study Naturopathy. I was interested in learning in-depth about topics including Bach Flower Remedies, Tissue Salts and Iridology, so that I could integrate this knowledge into my Energy Healing and Sports Massage practice. In the recent years since I began to follow my heart, and to do what I truly loved, I have achieved more  than I had in all my years up to that point. John graduated from Trinity College with Bachelors and Masters Degrees in Physiology and from the Anglo-European College of Chiropractic in England as a chiropractor. After working in London he returned to Dublin in 1992 and now practices in Ranelagh and Walkinstown. John combines his knowledge of the human body with chiropractic to provide a unique, professional and safe approach to the treatment of back complaints. He works closely with members of the medical profession in the treatment of conditions such as: back pain and leg pain, neck pain and arm pain, trapped nerves and sciatica, headaches and migraine, slipped disc, frozen shoulder, whiplash, sports injuries, repetitive strain, jaw problems, arthritis and back pain in pregnancy. John receives medical referrals of infants diagnosed with colic and reflux, and has a success rate in excess of 90% in treating these cases.In his treatment of sports injuries John has worked both in Ireland and abroad with high performance professional and international athletes in sports such as basketball, squash, tennis, rugby, soccer and skiing. He has also worked with FAI teams such as St. Patrick’s Athletic, Athlone Town and Monaghan United. He has provided backstage and on-set services to both the music and film industries, and has also been chiropractor to the American, Australian and Argentine Embassies.
