Our clinic aims to make mole removal as simple and straightforward as possible. Facial moles are common, however, they can be unsightly. There are several different types of facial moles, with some being flat, raised or hairy. Often clients have visited their GP only to be advised that their mole is ‘not sinister’ or it is a cosmetic lesion. As such, they cannot be removed on the NHS or the mole removal will leave an unsightly scar, worse than the original mole. Our team will assess the best method of mole removal often using a polarised light (dermatoscope) to help identify the type and depth of the mole. They are most often found around the head and neck, eyelids and underarm. They catch on collars and can irritate and bleed. At Olelo, we can offer same day assessment and removal under local anaesthetic. The treatment is painless and recovery is quick. A skin tag is regarded as a cosmetic procedure in the NHS and thus does not offer treatment.
