Mesotherapy for fat and cellulite reduction is an aesthetic treatment where a specially prepared cocktail of vitamins, homeopathic ingredients, amino acids and medications is injected into the problem areas that are resistant to diet and exercise. Vitamins and amino acids are used to tighten sagging skin while other agents are used to remove areas of fat that are then dissolved and excreted through the bloodstream by the kidneys and bowel. This can be an effective treatment to remove pockets of fat on the face (reduction of lower eyelid pads, double chin and jowl areas) neck, axillary folds, back rolls, ‘saddle bags’, inner and upper arms, inner and outer thighs, region above knee, cellulite, lypomas, body sculpting and defining body contours. There is some swelling, redness and bruising to the injection site may occur that will last a few days but could be helped by applying a cold compress, support garments and taking mild painkillers such as Paracetamol. A course of 8-10 sessions is advised for optimal results every 2 weeks.

Treatment with B Toxin Type A injections to relax facial wrinkles blocks muscular nerve signals, which then weakens the muscle so it can’t contract resulting in diminished unwanted facial wrinkles. B toxin can be used to help smooth crow’s feet, forehead furrows, frown lines and skin bands on the neck.  At Wellness Studio our Independent Nurse Prescriber is also able to offer facial rejuvenation and facial sculpting by administering B Toxin Type A (Nefertiti Face lift, Brow Lift, Mentails Treatment, Platismal Bands, Gummy Smile, Smokers Fine Lines, Marionette Lines, Upper chest Treatment, etc). The effect may last up to 3-4 months or more in some cases and should be repeated to maintain the desired outcome.  There is some mild swelling that will disappear after 30 minutes and rarely bruising to the injection site may occur. Local topical anaesthetic cream would be offered if desired.
