Graduated from the University of Toronto with distinction in Microbiology and Biochemistry in 1988.He did specialised graduated studies at Hahnemann University Graduate School. He made the Honor Roll and was on the Dean's list and received the Distinguished Scholar Award in Basic Sciences in 1992 at Ross University School Of Medicine. He Graduated from Ross University in 1994.He then completed his Internal Medicine Residency training at Seton Hall University in 1998 and became Board Certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine the same year. He practised in New York for several years with affiliation to the Jamaica Hospital and the Mary Immaculate Hospital before returning to Canada where he underwent training in Family Medicine at the University of Toronto, St Joseph Health Center. He entered private practice in Family Medicine in January 2006.
