Prof. Dr. Tuğrul Çakır graduated from Meram Faculty of
Medicine in 2004 and started his career the same year. He became a General
Surgery Specialist by completing his specialization at Haydarpaşa Numune Education
and Research Hospital. (2009)
He worked as a Chief Physician at Gazipaşa State Hospital in
2010. He was awarded the Superior Service Award by the District Governorship
for his work there.
In 2012, he received training and a certificate in Advanced
Laparoscopy and Bariatric Surgery for 1 year.
He worked as Antalya Education and Research Organ
Transplantation Responsible Manager, Liver and Kidney Transplantation
Responsible Specialist for 9 years. He performed many operations in the field
of General Surgery, especially Organ Transplantation (Liver and Kidney) and
Cancer Surgery.
He received the title of Associate Professor in 2007 and
Professor in 2024

Prof. Dr. Tuğrul ÇAKIR has performed tens of thousands of
general surgery and bariatric surgeries throughout his career.
He was selected as one of the 10 most successful doctors in
Antalya in 2017 and received the title of doctor of the year in Antalya in
2018.
For the first time in
the world, 8 cancerous organs were removed without knocking a patient
unconscious and talking to the patient throughout the surgery. These organs
included the entire pancreas, duodenum, 2/3 of the large intestine, spleen,
half of the stomach, gallbladder, right half of the liver and appendix.
2nd in the world and the first in Turkey, he intervened in
rectal cancer with Robotic Surgery and removed cancerous tissue from natural
holes without making an incision in the abdomen.

carrier and contributed to the training of many surgeons.
