As a Counselling Psychologist I use evidence-based interventions and therapeutic approaches, including CBT (Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy), Psychodynamic, Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy, Schema-Focused Therapy and Solution-Focused Therapy. These therapies have been found to be effective in clinical trials with a wide range of symptoms and can be employed for short, problem-focused work or for longer-term psychotherapy. My aim is to enhance clients' self-awareness, coping strategies and motivation to change. You will never feel rushed as we do not book people in without a space afterwards. The Consultant has over 15 years experience in psychology, most in neurological conditions. She specialises in head injury and is registered with the Health Professions Council.  If we feel our service is not suitable we will redirect you. But the service is highly individual and geared to the needs of patients, with individual treatment programmes. The service is intensive, can be long-term or just a few sessions, as needed.
