Hi. I'm an IACP-accredited counsellor & psychotherapist offering in-person sessions in Cork City and online sessions via Zoom or Phone. I work with adults (individuals and couples) looking for support in areas such as bereavement and loss, anxiety and depression, stress and illness, abuse, self-harm, relationships, maternal mental health (depression during/post-pregnancy, miscarriage, pregnancy loss) and any other life changes that can emerge and create uncertainty in life.  I believe that everyone should be able to benefit from confidential and non-judgemental support when life feels difficult. I work in a client-centred, humanistic and integrative way: I value my clients' own experience of life and together we explore more fulfilling and resourceful ways of being in the world. I draw on different techniques in my work, but essentially my role is to support and help empower the people I work with. I hold a BSc (Hons) in Counselling and Psychotherapy, along with a Professional Certificate in CBT and I am committed to ongoing professional learning and development. Dr Joseph Keaney has over 30 years in private practice in Cork city and has completed over 50,000 clinical inductions. He received his Doctorate in Clinical Hypnotherapy from AIH in the USA and is one of the most experienced and respected ethical practitioners of Hypnotherapy & Psychotherapy in Ireland.  He has also trained thousands of Hypnotherapists in Ireland and abroad and is currently the principal of the Institute of Clinical Hypnotherapy & Psychotherapy Training School. He is a member in good standing of several Hypnotherapy Institutes and Associations both in Ireland and internationally.
