I was really impressed with her professionalism and her skillsAnne, Ireland, 13 10 14

I went to Karen Crookes three times for a tight neck and lower back, as I wanted to add a physical hands-on- therapy to the other things I was doing. I was really impressed with her professionalism and her skills, the osteopathy was very non aggressive - ( I don't know if that's the right term, but I mean there was nothing unexpected or anxiety provoking in her manipulation of my neck! :) And its a bonus that she is a very affable nice person who I felt quickly at ease with. The results were fast and strong too and that of course is the priority. I felt totally re-aligned and the muscles relaxed over my neck and back in a way that was noticeable straight away, getting better and better till fully gone after the third visit. I also left each time without leaving feeling wrecked tired for the rest of the day, (as had happened before with osteopathy). All in all, highly recommended !!

No gain without painValerie, Ireland, 01 06 17

I had a deep tissue massage. They say no gain without pain and certainly, I felt pain. However 6 hours later I have absolutely no pain in my back. Really good. On completion, the receptionist offered a 20%discount off a future treatment for which advance payment was needed. I told her I wanted to see if the treatment worked prior to booking further appointments. This is a once only offer b 4 leaving.???? Surely a discount when one establishes that it has worked and a client wants to return would make better sense.

He stuck with me for the whole process!Ian, Ireland, 08 03 16

I went to Roy before I had knee surgery. He did a great job of diagnosing the problem, referring me to the proper physician, and then helping me rehab afterward. He stuck with me for the whole process! I chose Roy out of convenience, but I'm very glad I found him. Reasonably priced, dedicated and knowledgable, and spoke to a level I could understand. Finally, he always made time for me (on short notice often). I give him my highest recommendation!

Highly recommend to anyone!Agnes, Ireland, 30 01 14

Chiropractic care The service with outstanding medical and social ethics. I am very satisfied with the service. I suffer from back problems for many years and it use to get very bad every 4 months. I was always sceptic about any treatments because they only were a quick fix. However I bought a deal from LivingSocial, which offered an assessment and a treatment. Today I can say that it was one of my best decisions. I don't have a back pain from my third appointment and I am pain free for 3 weeks now which is an achievement for me; I got my energy back, and my headaches never returned since I started the treatment. I can enjoy my favourite activities again without being afraid to overdo. They also have very flexible payment plans which means a lot to me as I study and don't work. I never had to wait for more than 2 minutes to be called in by a Chiropractor. The clinic is very conveniently located and I was always able to find a car park. Highly recommend to anyone!

Couldn't recommend higher!Jonathan, Ireland, 12 12 16

I had an initial assessment which Gary gave me a clear diagnosis of my injuries and what was causing it. We then made a plan based on my goals (running and tennis) and a timeline to full recovery. Gary did some treatment which consisted of hands on work showing me how to move better and which muscles to use and how, I was shown some strengthening exercises and he used some dry-needling, it's a bit like acupuncture, which I wasn't too excited about but it did relieve my symptoms. He taped my knee and foot which felt weird but it did change the way I walked almost immediately. I returned for three further sessions which were more of the same with more exercises. It was never very difficult but I always felt I had done something. I run and play tennis and I'd been putting off going to a physio for months until the pain in my shoulder and knee got too much. I saw Gary, one of the physios in the clinic and he had me back running and playing tennis pain-free after 4 sessions. I didn't realise I was doing myself harm by moving in certain way and being a bit weak in a few areas. Gary changed how I moved my shoulder and gave me a few exercises and I can honestly say I haven't had any pain since. I still do a few exercises for maintenance which I think I'll keep up. Couldn't recommend higher!

Get Back Health Chiropractic - Chiropractic Clinic in Ireland

Get Back Health Chiropractic

9 Herbert Street, Dublin, Dublin 2
We are a chiropractic clinic located near the city center. We've been serving the people of Dublin with optimal chiropractic care for a number of years, but are always happy to see new patients. We offer a range of techniques if you happen to already be familiar with one or have particular concerns regarding chiropractic adjustments, but our clinicians are also adept at determining the most appropriate technique for patients who have no preference.
Posture Management
Posture, especially in the workplace and in sports, can lead to repetitive stress injuries damaging joints and tightening muscle groups. Both our doctors can help with any particular concerns you may have regarding your posture. Postural changes will require patience as it's essentially a changing of habits, so the most important thing is to stick with it and not get discouraged.
Trigger Point Therapy
Trigger point therapy is a soft tissue technique, similar to a short, yet specific massage. It focuses on working out singular tight points within muscles, rather than the muscle as a whole, to remove waste products and allow for muscle relaxation. Both doctors typically include a brief session of trigger point therapy in addition to traditional chiropractic care, though can also perform a session entirely of trigger points.
Ergonomic Assessments and Advice
Ergonomics refers to the way you move and position yourself in the workplace. Often simple things such as chair height and position, desk height, the type of computer you use, and where your tools are positioned can be changed to decrease the strain placed by yourself on your body. If concerned about your ergonomics, try to get a very clear idea of what your workplace looks like and how you're normally positioned before coming in so that we can give you the best advice.

SOMAdublin - Somatic Movement Education in Dublin City Centre

SOMAdublin

12 Brunswick Place, Dublin, 2
Somatic Movement Class / Somatic Exercise Class In a Somatic Exercise Class, you will learn a series of self-care movements to release tight muscles on the front, back and sides of your body. The overall goal is to become more aware of habitual muscle tensions in order to release them (and get rid of them ). The movement sequences are practiced in a slow manner to allow the brain to ‘catch up’ again, always within your individual comfortable range of motion and never pushing into pain. You are retraining your brain to send the correct information to the muscles (relax or contract) to allow for full control and good muscle function. For a one to one class, I will design a series of exercises specifically tailored to your needs. Every client is unique, so we will find the perfect variation of a movement that suits you. In a group class, I will teach with a more general approach while adjusting to each clients profile if possible. Ideally, you start with some Clinical sessions and continue to refine your movement with Somatic Exercise classes. I have trained as a Somatic Exercise Coach under Martha Peterson (Essential Somatics) beginning of 2014 to teach Somatic Movement classes. Clinical Somatic Education Clinical Somatic Education is a powerful one-to-one application of Somatic Education. Done on a wide and low table, the practitioner guides movement and uses different techniques to release stiff muscles and encourage smooth, unrestricted move
Posture Management €60 - €65
Pilates €60 - €65
Pilates can be booked as an add-on after a series of Somatic Movement sessions.
Clinical Somatic Education €65 - €80
Clinical Somatic Education is a powerful one-to-one application of Somatic Education. Done on a wide and low table, the practitioner guides movement and uses different techniques to release stiff muscles and encourage smooth, unrestricted movement. The range of motion is always in your control, and we never push through painful movements. We do not manipulate, but educate, so the pain is not coming back after a few weeks – given you do your daily 5-30min home practice. Taking responsibility for your body is essential to refine your sensory-motor control and keep you pain free. Ideally, you’ll only need between 3-6 sessions, and then continue with the self-care exercises, which you can do on your own without getting dependent on regular sessions to ‘fix’ you. Gain freedom and control again!
