Mr John M Rowles is a highly experienced and qualified BUPA recognised orthopaedic surgeon. He specialises in treating people with hip and knee replacements, knee arthroscopies and foot and ankle surgery. Procedures done by him include hip replacements, knee replacements, knee arthroscopies, lower limb disorders, injection therapies for back pain, removal of bumps and lumps like ganglions and foot and ankle surgery. He also offers medico-legal services.

I am currently a Consultant at Manchester University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust and a member of the Greater Manchester and Oswestry Sarcoma Service (GMOSS). I have been a Consultant since 2016. I perform hip and knee replacements along with knee arthroscopy for meniscal and cartilage conditions. My specialist interest is in musculoskeletal oncology in particular soft tissue sarcomas. I completed my medical degree at the Royal Free and University College London medical school in 2003 and undertook my early surgical training here in the North West. My specialist post-graduate training in Trauma & Orthopaedics was in the East Midlands (South) T&O rotation. I am registered as a fee assured consultant with BUPA, AXA, AVIVA and all other major insurance companies. I treat hip and knee problems in general. I deal with hip and knee  arthritis, soft tissue problems in and around the hip and knee such as  trochanteric bursitis,  piriformis syndrome,  meniscus cartilage tears and muscle and ligament sprains and tears. I deal with unexplained hip and knee pain where a firm diagnosis has not been made. Examples of conditions such as these are  sacroiliitis and  plica syndrome.
