Care&Cure Acupuncture & Chinese Medicine Wicklow

076 680 1161 The Mall, Main Street, Wicklow Town
Rating from 9 Reviews Acupuncturist ConsultationAnthony, Wicklow, 25 Sep 14

Have attended two sessions so far and I'm very happy with the service I've received

Massage €10  -  €80
Chinese massage is a form of therapy, which involves applying structured therapy to the soft tissues of the body or successively to the whole body. Chinese massage can be used to heal injury, relieve stress, manage pain and improve circulation. Chinese Massage can also be used to manipulate acupuncture points to lose weight, clear congestion, ease digestion problems and calm anxiety. Sessions typically last anything from 20 – 45 minutes and pricing is directly correlated to time.
Reflexology Up to €40
Reflexology is a gentle non-invasive therapy based on the principle that there are reflexes in the feet, hands and ears that correspond to every organ gland and system in the body. By stimulating these reflexes, reflexology encourages deep healing and tranquil relaxation. This therapy is particularly beneficial for joint mobilisation, migraine, sinus, digestion, back problems and stress related conditions as it discharges negativity and stimulates the body’s own immune system for self-healing. It can also enhance general well-being so why not book yourself a treat and pop into your local Care Cure Acupuncture & Chinese Medicine for a soothing reflexology session. Sessions typically last about 35 minutes and prices vary with time allowed for treatment.
Acupressure €10  -  €40
Acupressure is a good alternative for anyone suffering from a phobia of needles as it follows the same principle as acupuncture. It works by stimulating the same acupuncture points on the surface of the body but instead of using needles, the practitioner will apply pressure with the hands. Acupressure is an effective method of improving blood circulation and repairing tissue damage throughout the body. Via nerve stimulation acupressure can induce relaxation and improve skin tone, ease tension in muscles and joints, repair facial lymph damage and generally tone the body. For this reason it is often used as a facial beauty therapy. Acupressure has also seen considerable success in curing insomnia, lessening fatigue and dispelling back and joint pain.

Had back pain which extended down into my right hip and leg due to constant sitting at work and no exercise. All issues were explained and addressed and immediate relief was felt following massage. Returned the following day for another treatment as I was so impressed. Prompt reply to my email request and good communicator. Extremely reasonably priced and provided exercises to do at home. Very professional and knowledgeable about his work. Enjoyed the music! Would highly recommend.

Shock Wave My treatment was for an Achilles injury I got a while back and which had been leaving me with a lot of pain in the sole/ball of my foot. I contacted Linda and made an appointment for treatment. I found her very easy to talk to and was very good with the technical side of the problem as well as explaining it to me in "lay mans" terms what the mechanics of the injury were. After Linda's assessment I received the Shock wave treatment which I found extremely good with only four sessions needed and really noticed the difference on the first session to my amazement. I found Linda to be very professional, friendly and most of all having a very good understanding of the technical side to her profession which you do not always receive in other practices. I would highly recommend this clinic for any sports injuries etc..

Taragh Hanley Sports Massage and Physical Therapy

Woodstock, Greystones Kilcoole
0Benefits of Sports MassageAs a Sports Massage Therapist and Fitness instructor I aim to help alleviate any problems that the client may have through joined up thinking.Massage, applied skillfully, is the most effective therapy for releasing muscle tension and restoring balance to the musculoskeletal system. Received regularly this may help athletes prevent injuries, which might otherwise be caused by overuse. A constant build up of tension in the muscles from regular activity may lead to stresses on joints, ligaments, tendons, as well as the muscles themselves. These muscle imbalances may develop and often go undiagnosed until they are serious enough to cause the athlete discomfort or impede performance. The skilled massage therapist will be able to detect variations in the soft tissues and by using the correct techniques, help the person maintain a much healthier physical state. It may therefore be reasonably claimed that one of the greatest benefits of sports massage is in helping prevent injury.

Emer Cassidy

The Healing Rooms Watson&Johnson Centre, Mill Road, Greystones
Rating from 3 Reviews Floated out of the room after amazing massagePaula, greystones, 15 Sep 15

Hi I had an appointment with Emer Cassidy last Wednesday. It was my second appointment. First appointment we talked about why I went to see her and then she did some dry needling. Emer then emailed me about what she felt I needed. I found Emer extremely easy to talk too. She is a very smiley person and very professional. On my second visit Emer gave me the most AMAZING massage I have ever had. I literally floated out of her rooms. I could not recommend her highly enough. I am looking forward to seeing her again for other treatments. She really is worth a visit find her on google to find out what she offers. She is worth every penny and if you want a special treat pay her a visit or treat someone else to a visit to her. Delighted with the clinic I chose. Another professional recommended her to me and then I found her on google and made my appointment and I didn't have to travel to far either. She also told me of other professionals in her studio that I might find helpful which is great to know.

Rating from 2 Reviews Outstanding massageThomas, Ireland, 23 Sep 15

I booked in for a full body hot oil massage. This was possibly the best massage I have ever had. I had the option to keep my boxers on or take them off. I chose to go naked as it's more comfortable. The massage was excellent all over. The massuses was very professional. I'll definitely return. Very basic rooms but that doesn't matter when you have your eyes closed for the massage anyway. The rooms are all next to each other so you can hear the other massuses talking if they talk. Not a big deal, it didn't bother me and wasn't a distraction from my massage.
