We highly recommend UR Vistahermosa in Alicante, Spain. Communication with the clinic was excellent throughout and their fertility coach, Ema who is based in the UK was a godsend & helped us to navigate the process smoothly from the UK. The clinic were thorough in their approach and pre-treatment tests, and treatment was very quick. Dr Anaya was kind & compassionate but also honest & realistic, which we appreciated. We were very lucky to have success on our first transfer using donor eggs. We can't thank the clinic enough for helping us to complete our family.

Changes experienced in our society have made women delay maternity. When they are ready, due to their advanced age, they find themselves with serious infertility problems as they have lost the quality of their eggs. Today, it is frequent to find women over 40 who want to be mothers and choose the ovodonation treatment to become mothers. Our egg donation program is aimed at women who, due to their age, genetic background, surgeries or because of illness; can’t get pregnant. The reasons can be several, but basically, it’s a lack of proper ovarian functioning to produce eggs or produce them of poor quality. Medical and biological advances, together with the solidarity of many women who are of fertile age, allow the donation of a cell as the oocyte, letting millions of couples around the world achieve something so natural, but in occasions complex, like having children. In the HLA Vistahermosa Reproduction Unit, egg donation is one of the most effective treatments in assisted reproduction and is done strictly following the legal requirements. This means not only the donor age limit, between 18 and 35, and the gynaecological, hormonal and genetic studies but the anonymity of the donor and the recipient. Egg donation + Fenomatch The Fenomatch Platform is an innovative tool used by our team of doctors and embryologists to objectively and scientifically select ideal donors for patients.

In the event that you need to preserve your fertility, for medical reasons (surgery, chemotherapy or radiotherapy) or social reasons, (delayed motherhood) your eggs (ova) or ovarian tissue can be cryopreserved until you are ready to use them. Although freezing oocytes might reduce their viability, our pregnancy success rates using thawed oocytes are reaching that obtained with fresh oocytes. This is due to the fact that we use a freezing technique called “vitrification” that has one advantage over conventional forms of freezing, namely, the survival rate of the oocytes once thawed is better. This Unit is the only one in the Alicante province and one of the very few in Spain that is authorised by the Ministry and Department of Health to fertilise oocytes that have been frozen.

Egg donation when Sweden no longer could help us. We chose Spain due to their long experience of egg donation and IVI Alicante due to the location and easy communication. Nice, clean and all staff are professionals with the heart in the right place. Many blood tests and careful examinations. The first attempt gave us the most beautiful daughter and we are IVI and our donor eternally grateful for that. Thank you!
