Treatment to adopt embryosIt’s easy and painless. The preparation of the uterus to receive the embryos consists of patches which are applied on the skin and vaginal suppositories. In a few days the uterus is prepared and the embryos can be thawed and transferred. No committal to the hospital is needed, merely physical efforts should be avoided. Process of embryo adoption During the initial consultation the woman’s health is checked and a gynaecological examination is performed. Please bring any previous revelant medical report with you. A scan will be performed and a painless catheter test is done. This is to choose the best catheter for transfer. You will receive indications on how to proceed with the treatment and a date for the thawing and transfer of the embryos will be agreed. Success rateThe success rate for each embryo adoption cycle in our centre was 60%. Waiting list There is no waiting list, as soon as all previous tests have been made and the preparatory treatment has started transfer takes place approximately two to four weeks later. It is not necessary to run through an official adoption process, you just sign the consent form for this Assisted Reproduction Technique. Differences between embryo adoption and donation The difference lies within the legal situation. For the “Donation Programme” the embryos come from couples who explicitly and in writing give their embryos away to other couples. In the “Adoption Programme” the destination of the embryos has not been chosen and therefore they are legally under the protection of the centre.

My Partner and I have been on a Fertility Journey for the past 4 years in Ireland. Been over medicated each month when I didn't need to be. Myself and my partner decided to look at going abroad. We were looking at other clinics in Greece and someone I know had treatment with Dr Koutoulakis and Sophia Kasfiki and could not recommend them enough. I sent over all test results for myself and my partner that we had over the past few years in Ireland. I then had a phone consultation with Sophia and felt so at ease. Herself and Dr Koutoulakis had looked at all our results from previous tests and recommended to do a day trip for certain tests. We flew out shortly and had tests then when they received results. Explained our options, treatments and what medications to take. We decided to do a IVF cycle with them. So we came out again and stayed for 2 weeks. Communication from the clinic is amazing, and they answer any concerns or worries you may have. I was quite nervous having Scans, Egg Collection and Embryo Transfer but there was no need to be. Dr Koutoulakis, Sophia and Harika made me feel so at ease. They really care about you and are so so knowledgeable. Harika was absolutely amazing at explaining the protocols and the best pharmacies to get the medications. Dr Koutoulakis, Sophia and Harika also the staff in the lab are super friendly and very knowledgeable. From the moment you walk into the reception all the staff make you feel so welcomed. I recently had Embryo Transfer and am hoping we get the news we want.
