What are Porcelain Veneers?

Porcelain veneers are thin, tooth coloured coverings also known as porcelain laminates used to cover the front of the tooth. They are placed to improve the appearance of smiles by changing the colour, length or size of teeth. The porcelain used to make the veneers is of a high quality and is generally long lasting.

What is the difference between Porcelain Veneers and Dental Crowns?

Porcelain veneers are only used to cosmetically correct the appearance of smiles. They only cover the front portion of the tooth. Dental crowns cover the entire tooth and are used to cover damaged teeth. Crowns are also placed over surgically inserted dental implants. Crowns are thicker than veneers. The patient’s tooth structure does not need much reduction for the placement of a porcelain veneer. A major portion of the tooth structure has to be reduced before the placement of a crown.

How long do Porcelain Veneers last?

Porcelain veneers last between 10 and 20 years. Patients need to follow the dental maintenance care instructions strictly to ensure that their porcelain veneers don’t wear out or chip. Porcelain veneers are the strongest and costliest type of veneer.

Is it painful getting Porcelain Veneers?

The dentist will administer a local anaesthetic before placing porcelain veneers. This is because the teeth of some patients are more sensitive than others. Since very little tooth structure is reduced for placing veneers, patients will not feel pain after veneers are placed. Some patients may feel a little soreness or sensitivity for a few days after the anaesthesia wears off.

The price was very reasonableNicola, Spain, 27 08 24

I started my treatment in early August. Full top dentures and partial lower dentures. I had literally no pain during extractions. Clinic is fantastic as are the staff. Have been struggling with sore spots and gums healing so eating is extremely difficult as well as being sick due to bad gag reflex. Good point is I have lost weight!!! I really had no clue as to how to deal with this or knowing of any possible outcomes. It's currently a real struggle, though this is normal. Youtube has been my friend with great advice and tips. Praying in few weeks when I visit that I will then be on road to my mouth feeling normal. The price was very reasonable. 🙏 Thank you so much.

My hygienist was a lovely lady putting me at ease straight awayShawn, UK, 09 10 24

I got told by my 7-year-old daughter that my breath smells so I made a hygiene appointment and got seen instantly. My hygienist was a lovely lady putting me at ease straight away then proceeded to do a phenomenal job. I’ve just walked back into my car from the clinic and wanted to put this review on straight away as I’m that happy with my treatment.

Porcelain Veneers from 350 €
Often an alternative to crowns, veneers are very thin pieces of specially-shaped porcelain that are glued over the front of your teeth with little or no anesthesia needed. They are the cure for teeth that are severely discolored, chipped, have small holes or pits, misshapen or crooked, or for the correction of unwanted or uneven spaces. Unlike crowns, veneers won't require the dentist to remove much of the tooth itself in most cases. In some cases more tooth will need to be removed, which may increase the risk of trauma to the tooth. Veneers are created from an impression taken in the dentist's office. Your custom veneer is then glued directly onto your tooth. Veneers won't stain, making veneers the ultimate treatment for your smile makeover. Using the latest techniques in smile design and the highest quality porcelain dental veneers we can give you the smile of your dreams. Some patients want a brilliant white Hollywood smile whereas others want a subtle change - whatever your needs are we can provide you with the smile that is right for you.

Teeth Whitening from 125 €
Teeth enamel discoloration can be caused by staining, aging, or chemical damage to teeth. Some of the more common causes of teeth discoloration are medications, coffee, tea or cigarettes. People who drink significant amounts of cola soft drinks can experience similar staining.Aside from staining, there are other factors that can affect the color of an individual's teeth. Genetics can play a role. Some people have naturally brighter enamel than others. Disease can also be a factor and certain medications can cause a discoloration of the teeth.Using a specail light with a whitening gel, this is an in-office bleaching system. It is often followed up with an at-home bleaching kit if needed. The translucent bleaching gel is applied to the teeth and a specail activating light source is used to activate the crystals to absorb the energy from the light and penetrate the teeth enamel to increase the lightening effect on the teeth. Teeth whitening is becoming one of the most popular cosmetic dentistry treatments because it is the fastest and most pain-free ways to an improved smile.
