Bad breath and/or periodontal (gum) disease
With all the best technology available, we can produce veneers, crowns and implants as a single visit procedure in most cases. This means no temporary crowns or fillings during treatment. Our practice is fitted with the latest state of the art equipment and technology that is available in the world today.
Rest assured that you will be receiving the best of the best dental care imaginable.
All procedures are fully computerized.
Veneers and crowns are manufactured by a CAD/CAM (computer aided design/computer aided milling) system. X-rays are digitally processed, and we take photographs inside the mouth with a special intra oral camera. Patients are informed of everything and can see what is happening inside their mouths during the process. No more guessing for the patients, and also an excellent treatment plan tool for the dentist.
Our ZOOM! Tooth whitening system
Spend an hour with me and leave with a mouth full of bright white shiny teeth!
This is rated as one of the worlds best teeth whitening systems.
The lips and gums are closed and well isolated, a peroxide gel is placed on the teeth, which gets activated with the ZOOM light. Within an hour the teeth are about six shades whiter. The results are outstanding.
This is truly dentistry to be excited about!
It will be an experience every time you visit, and not just an appointment.
First Dental Practice in South Africa to go GREEN!
Creating smiles is a work of art, combining it with a contribution to save the world is extraordinary.
Everybody knows about the issue of global warming, Mr. Al Gore, Leonardo Di Caprio and many other supporting and fighting for a greener future.
It wasn’t as much that I was a greenie before, but, I did not want to sit in a middle of a procedure or doing a full mouth rehabilitation and suddenly have a power outage. What would I tell my patient? I am so sorry sir/madam but I do not have a back-up generator. Calamity indeed!
I did not want to have a generator, because of all the emissions released into our grandchildren’s atmosphere! (Definitely the price of diesel played a role as well and on top of that, the maintenance cost of a generator is not to be sneered at either)
So, my husband, having successfully converted a Retirement Village consisting of 120 residential units to solar energy, stepped in (Galeo Solar).
After explaining the process of carbon dioxide emissions, carbon credits, inverters and solar photovoltaic (solar PV) panels, the absolute highlight for me was that the energy generated from the solar panels is clean, constant and pure. This is an absolute necessity for all my expensive milling units, 3dimentional X-ray machines and almost a dozen computers in the practice.
By embarking on this new venture it is envisaged to generate 60kW/h per day with a conservative 1488kW/h per month.
That’s an astounding 17megawatt hours per year (conservatively calculated for our sunny South Africa).
What does this all mean?
This means my practice neutralizes 17 tons of carbon dioxide emissions per year, which would have been released by our national coal-burning power stations. This would in turn lessen the amount of energy required from burning fossil fuels had I used a diesel generator.
I feel so proud pioneering in this venture, and I hope my fellow surgeons, would also contribute saving our planet whilst giving our patients new smiles!
