What is Sedation Dentistry?

Sedation dentistry is performed for dental procedures for anxious patients by administering medications to help them relax. I had a Bridge fitted by Dr. Busru Cinar in the Galway clinic because my two front teeth had become loose and partly decayed. It was value for money because the attention to detail was superb, the staff were very informative, and I'm very happy with the outcome. I chose this clinic based on the reviews and on the information I received on the first visit. Overall I would have no hesitation in recommending 3Dental Galway.

I had an extremely positive, pain-free experience with tooth extraction at the Oral Specialist clinic with Dr Junaid Nayyar. I was extremely anxious about the prospect and opted for IV sedation, which worked extremely well for me. The consultation process was also very positive and reassuring. If you have to get a tooth out this is the place to go!

Intravenous sedation involves injecting a medication through a vein which results in a altered state of consciousness. The patient becomes relaxed and will probably fall into a light sleep. During the procedure the patient is constantly monitored by the anesthetist. Medications such as pain control,antibiotics and anti-inflammatory agents are also given intravenously. At the end of the procedure the sedation is reversed and patients leave the premise within 10 minutes!
