Suddenly got an excruciating toothache on a Saturday afternoon. I took painkillers and thought that somehow the pain would cease enough for to make an appointment with the local facility in my neighbourhood. I was wrong. The pain increased, so much so that I could barely sleep or eat. I went online and was lucky enough to connect with Canal View Dental Surgery and received an appointment for Sunday evening. I attended, of course !. And was kindly welcomed and received excellent treatment. The dentist managed to rid me of all pain and only because of his skill, he managed to retain my tooth. I have no problem in recommending him to anyone who is seeking excellent dental treatment and advice.

I’m a nervous patient with gum disease. Due to Covid, it had been nearly a year since my last visit to the hygienist. I was expecting pain and discomfort and the usual lecture. Well, I was wrong.. Shauna, the hygienist, was amazing… I got pain-free but thoroughly clean and polished. The usual advice was delivered in sympathetic, non-hectoring tones. I’ll be back!

My advice is to make an appointment and you will not be disappointed! I have had anxiety with dentists in the past as I have had problems with my gums and teeth, needing plenty of work.
Having struggled with ill-fitting dentures for years, I was delighted to be recommended to Máirtín & given the opportunity to put things right! Our upcoming daughter's wedding gave me added encouragement. It was not an easy journey, starting out with removals, bone grafting & implants. All stages were handled with great care & attention to detail & made easier with up to date treatment. Conscious sedation was a huge benefit. I have to say that my mouth did look like a battlefield at times but it was worth it all in the end. I now have a beautiful set of teeth, carefully built to fit seamlessly into my mouth & not a bit out of place. My husband also had similar & successful treatment. I have to say I've never been happier after leaving a dentist. I've had too many bad experiences with dentists and had just about given up and had bad anxiety about going to a dentist again. I had the start of a root canal done and I have to say I felt quiet at ease and felt absolutely no pain and am happy to go back to have the rest done. The whole team are ace and I'm a very happy customer and now have a dentist I trust.
