Dr. John McHugh - Plastic Surgery Clinic in AustraliaFeatured

The doctor takes particular care and is concerned about the aesthetic outcome and the final resultDianne, Australia, 26 05 18

I find Dr. McHugh a highly skilled and caring surgeon. For a maxillofacial surgeon, he takes particular care and is very concerned about the aesthetic outcome and the final result. He has a very successful, busy practice which is largely due to his very broad and extensive experience. Would be a loss for the area if he closed his practice and moved onto other things. Priced well for his level of experience. Could command a lot more in fees.

Highly recommendCheryl, Australia, 01 08 20

I'm not a fan of dentists but was very happy with my service. Highly recommend Sarah and team Thank you.

Dentist Consultation
Dr Cameron has over 30yrs of experience. During a dental check he thoroughly examines teeth for any dental or gum problems. He will then discuss in detail your options for dental treatment and answer any questions you may have.
Dental Implants
A dental implant is a titanium screw device placed within the bone of the jaw. The titanium fuses with the bone and is similar to an actual tooth root. The implant can replace missing teeth. In the case of a full lower denture Dr Cameron recommends it is supported by 2 implants placed in the lower jaw. The implant supported lower denture reduces the risk of slipping, increases chewing efficacy and improves speech. Dr Cameron has 23 years of success with dental implants.
Veneers
A veneer is a thin layer of material placed over a tooth, either to improve the appearance of a tooth or to protect a damage to a tooths surface. There are two main types, composite or porcelain veneer.

Braces $4500 - $5500
What are the types of orthodontic treatments? Braces – Traditional metal or modern ceramic brackets are attached to each tooth and an archwire is threaded through. The constant pressure exerted on the teeth and bones by the wire will gradually move the teeth in to the desired position. Elastic bands are stretched between the upper and lower braces if additional force is required to move the teeth. Clear aligners – Clear aligners such as the Invisalign, can be used to correct many misalignment and crowding issues without the discomfort and appearance of metal braces and wires. Clear aligners need to be worn continuously except during eating and with time will apply gradual pressure on teeth and bones to move them into the desired position. Plates – Plates are small plastic devices that can be used in the mouth to push teeth in to the desired position or hold them in place. Unlike traditional braces which are attached to the teeth, plates can be taken in and out of the mouth.
Porcelain Veneers $900 - $1100
Porcelain veneers are thin shells of tooth colored porcelain that can be chemically bonded to the tooth to hide any aesthetic issues such as cracked, broken, chipped, discolored, or slightly misaligned teeth. They are more conservative than crowns and can be used on strong and healthy teeth to improve their appearance. Two appointments will be necessary to prepare the teeth and fit the veneers. It is possible to get a range of colors and shapes with veneers, so please be clear with your dentist about exactly what you are expecting and let us know at each step if you are completely satisfied with the veneers so that we can work with you to help you achieve the smile you desire. If you are unhappy with the color or shape of the veneer that is made in the lab, please discuss your concerns with our friendly dentists as soon as you see it and before they cement it onto your teeth – once the veneer is cemented onto the tooth, it is difficult to adjust the color and shape.
