I chose Dr Berat because of his ethos in rejuvenating and giving you a refreshed look as opposed to making it obvious you have had your face pulled. The consultation was an hour long, where we discussed what I didn't like, and he also explained why I did not like those areas and what could be done to fix them. A tailored surgical plan was made. Point to note here is that I had already had a facelift elsewhere several years ago, which wasn't particularly successful, so this was classed as a revision surgery, which is more complicated and delicate. We then hot-footed it to the hospital for pre op tests, which included bloods, X-ray, and ECG, plus a meeting with the anaesthetist, which took less than an hour. The next day was surgery day.

Surgery day came, and my operation took 6 hrs in total. At the hospital, I had my own pain management device, so I did not have to rely on the ward nurses, plus for the first night, I even had a private nurse provided by Dr Berat. These 2 services are given to all. I stayed 2 nights at the hospital.

After discharge, I was seen several times for reviews, wound checks and dressing changes with Dr Berat. All medications were supplied, and we were given medications and scar creams to go home with. The whole experience from start to finish was smooth and efficient, and you felt like a friend to the team rather than just a patient number.

Fatma, who is Dr Berat's wife, works as his coordinator, and all communications are handled by her. She is really lovely. She always answers you, even if you think your question is a little silly.

Were recommended to Dr Berat Clinic by our dentist Antlara Dental in Antalya, Turkey. We are from the Uk England, and we live in Derbyshire. Of course, we were nervous. Surgery in Turkey. But Dr Berat's qualifications and certificates are very impressive. And we met with Dr Berat and his staff initially in person in February 2025, while we were in Turkey having work done for our teeth. We booked our surgeries for January this year, 2026, and in between that first in-person meeting in February, we had numerous support and consultations virtually up until our surgery date 3 weeks ago. To say we absolutely made the correct choice and surgeon with Dr Berat is a huge Yes!! Not only have the surgeries gone extremely well, but there has been minimal swelling or pain for both my mum. My procedure was a tummy tuck, lipo 360 and breast implants. My mum had a breast reduction and face lift. I honestly feel in my case (my mum is doing her own separate review for her surgery ), the skills and techniques used in my surgeries have been very very professional and precise. The reason for my wanting this surgery wasn’t in vain. My breasts were very small and very loose skin in proportion to my body, and have been like that all my life. After having my son, the skin laxity just got worse. I have lost a lot of weight over the years and gained, and also due to a C-section with my son, I was left with a large overhang pouch, no matter how much I trained in the gym. The Lipo 360 was needed as I have never had a normal bellybutton and this was the main reason. Dr Berat took all of this on board. So tentatively so caring, and you can tell he wants to make sure his patients have the results they want, as it means so much to them. I honestly cannot tell you how happy I am. 3 weeks post op and I’m doing fantastic. My healing is going very well. My scar is minimal, and he made sure to put it low under my pant line. My breasts are very natural and beautiful and I already have full feeling back on my right nipple. You can see where he has carefully and skillfully contoured the lipo to give me the best shape possible based on my figure and body shape. My bellybutton, omg, honestly, I’ve cried so much with happiness. I can’t explain it. If you know, you know !! I now have a normal outy perfect bellybutton not a gaping hole that folds over !! Dr Berat doesn’t cut corners in surgery. He spends time. He also will not allow you to be under for more than 6 hours due to safety and he only operates on Tuesdays. Wednesday. Thursday. And it’s 1 patient. Not several. I also respected and loved his passion for the science of it all. And he openly and passionately discusses and explains this to you the day before your surgery. Everything is explained. Nothing is too much trouble. He doesn’t pressure you to get “sales” he’s genuine. Honest. And caring. He also works to the anatomy of your body. For example, if I wanted very large breasts. He wouldn’t perform the surgery. He only performs the implants that are in the healthy range for your anatomy and that’s all explained at your consultation the day before surgery, once he’s taken all the relevant measurements. He also said to me when he visited me the day after my surgery in the hospital, “ I was thinking of how you would look under the lights in a nice dress when I was fitting your implants “ I’m a singer and that level of care and thought is just unbelievable that he wanted me to look my best on stage performing. Such a lovely, caring man !! Who takes pride in his work. Moving on to his beautiful, caring, funny, warmhearted, lovely wife, Fatma, oh my goodness. This is why Dr Berat Clinic works. She’s just amazing. She looks after you so well, and nothing is too much trouble, and I felt so loved and cared for. I doubt you would get this service with the many clinics and companies in Turkey that offer surgeries. She kept intouch with me throughout this whole process. And she cares so so much. From picking you up for appointments to making sure you have everything. Genuine care. Not fake. We were taken to the hospital the day before our surgeries and everything is so professional and efficient, from bloods, to ECG, chest x-rays, and meetings with the anaesthetic doctor. All your insurance with them is explained. Safety is a priority at Dr Berat. And that was very clear from the moment we arrived in Antalya to have our surgery. She visited the hospital numerous times and anything we needed she organised. The 2 private nurses are just amazing. Surgery nurse. And a post-operation nurse. Oh my goodness. I underwent a neck lift, deep plane facelift, upper blepharoplasty, lip lift, and temporal brow lift in November 2024.
Initial contact and preparation
My initial communication with the clinic was very positive. The team was friendly, responsive, and answered my questions promptly. We had multiple video calls via WhatsApp, and the process initially felt attentive and reassuring.

The day before surgery, a clinic representative met me at my hotel and accompanied me to complete pre-operative checks. These were carried out at a public hospital where routine services were being provided. While everything was completed as expected, the setting was not what I had anticipated.

After returning to the clinic to make payment, I personally felt a noticeable change in communication and attentiveness compared to before payment was made.

Surgery and hospital experience
The surgery took place the following day at the same hospital. While the medical checks were standard, my overall hospital experience was disappointing and did not meet my expectations.

Results and aftercare
The neck lift and lip lift met my expectations, and I am satisfied with those outcomes. However, I was disappointed with the facelift, as the improvement was less noticeable than I had anticipated.

More concerning were the results of the upper eyelid and temporal brow procedures. One side of my face now moves normally, while the other does not, resulting in visible asymmetry and an eye that appears less open. I raised these concerns with the clinic and was advised to wait at least six months. I waited a full year to allow for complete healing before reaching out again.

After this, I experienced ongoing difficulties with follow-up communication. Calls that were discussed did not take place, and further attempts to reconnect were unsuccessful. During my initial consultation, I had been told that any corrective surgery would be provided without additional cost. However, due to the lack of follow-up, I am now facing the prospect of paying privately to correct the issues.

I paid £7,400 for these procedures and, unfortunately, I now feel more self-conscious than I did before surgery. While parts of the treatment met my expectations, the unresolved asymmetry and lack of aftercare support have made this a very difficult experience.

Very good experience with Dr Berat and I would highly recommend. I had breast uplift and implants.

Medical Travel Co arranged for my surgery by Dr Berat Cigdem in Antalya, Turkey. An extensive search on the Internet found him to be credible with a good reputation. He has Facebook and Instagram pages, to which he posts regularly his work and the experiences of his patients. Dr Berat is quite personable and he has a good manner with his patients.

He appears to be famous in Antalya. His certificates need to be translated into English but having been to his clinic and undergone surgery I can say that he appears professional and conscientious. His image and reputation are important to him. He seems to value his work and his patients and he seems unlikely to put his reputation at stake by taking risks with his patients.

The surgery was performed without difficulty or complications. Dr Berat explained every step of the way. However, be sure to have your questions ready. It is not easy to know what your questions might be so I advise you to do your research beforehand.

The final results of my surgery will not be clear for a few months but what I see thus far appears to be very good and expertly achieved. Medical care was excellent, with regular check ins by hospital staff, and appropriate pain relief, antibiotics and several creams to reduce scarring.

I had a check up with Dr Berat a week after the surgery. Again he was very personable and he provided detailed information about aftercare. Dr Berat appears to be an enthusiastic plastic surgeon who is happy in his role and proud of his work. I take this as a good sign of a surgeon who is highly skilled and motivated to achieve excellent results for his patients.

It appears that Dr Berat is constantly developing his skills by ongoing training and attending conventions where new products are exhibited. You can see this on his social media.

Dr Berat's wife, Fatma, who is involved in the business side of his clinic was reassuring and helped to put me at ease just before going into the theatre. In fact she held my hand on the way.
