Pedralbes Clinic

II underwent a face and neck lift with a genioplasty at this clinic in April 2025, and the outcome has been extremely difficult for me. Shortly after the surgery, I developed complications, including a haematoma and facial paralysis on one side. I also experienced significant swelling inside my mouth that affected my breathing, and the nursing team had to contact the surgeon for further guidance.

Seven months later, the paralysis is still present. I can only just close one eye, and I continue to struggle with eating and drinking without manually supporting my lips. The neck bands remain visibly prominent, and my chin sits further forward and lower than what I understood from the treatment plan. I was later advised by another professional that my symptoms may be related to the mentalis muscle not functioning as expected, which may be contributing to the aesthetic and functional issues I’m experiencing.

This situation has had a major emotional impact on my life. I have felt extremely self-conscious about these changes and have rarely left my home in months. I am now looking into revision surgery in the UK, which will be costly, but returning to the original clinic is not possible for me due to the travel, time away from work, and how unsettled I feel about undergoing further treatment there.

Another concern for me was the timing of the consent process. I received the consent form about five minutes before the procedure, and I did not feel I had enough time to review or discuss it properly.

Overall, this experience has been life-changing. I am still trying to find a way forward.

I had blepharoplasty (upper eyelid surgery) done here because they were affordable and also located in the same city as me (Barcelona).

For the money I paid, I think they did an excellent job. I’m very happy and considering having some more work done at this clinic. I’ve already recommended them to a friend of mine.

The clinic was very easy to find. The clinics were amazingly beautiful and clean. The personnel were very nice and attentive and made me very comfortable while waiting for the doctor. The doctor was very nice and understanding. He understood what I wanted and explained to me how the procedure was to happen. He answered all my questions and more.

I am planning on booking my surgery with him. His work really pleased me and it seems to be exactly what I want for myself. I'll be back to give a review after my rhinoplasty.

I recently had eyelid surgery, blepharoplasty, carried out. Particularly in the last couple of years, as I move closer to 50, I noticed that my top eyelids were becoming heavier which was really beginning to bother me when I looked in the mirror, I looked tired/sad/older than I felt or wanted to look. I have been having treatment for wrinkles since I was 40, but recently this was only aggravating the problem by dropping the brows and hence the eyelids even further. I did stop the treatment for wrinkles temporarily but to little effect.

I don't entirely know why I was drawn to Dr Joan San Miguel Moragas, I usually go on my gut. Partly it was the price [I note he is even less expensive now] but also he has a very welcoming/open face in his online image. I made the appointment to discuss the procedure with him and found him extremely friendly and engaging. He spent considerable time describing the procedure verbally and through pen drawings as he went along. I asked to see his previous work and he showed me a number of before and after images of which I was impressed. Because I felt so comfortable in his presence I decided to book the surgery then and there.
I had the surgery last Friday and Joan and his assistants were absolutely wonderful. I felt very well taken care of before, during and after the procedure.
The stitches come out tomorrow and I look forward to the results as the healing process continues.

I did Genioplasty Surgery in birbe clinic, Dr San Miguel was great doctor and I have now very good result as what I saw in Photoshop and what I expected 100%. Dr San Miguel very gentle and care about me too much . The value of the gineplasty surgery it's very cheap around 1/3 the price of anywhere .

I wanted a dip in the bridge of my nose and Dr San Joan Miguel did an amazing job and answered all my questions and put me at ease. I had every confidence in him and he did better than I could have expected. I am a married 33 year old male with 2 children and felt I needed this doing for myself. I am more than happy with the results and can't recommend this doctor highly enough, a true professional.
The clinic was easy to get to and very clean. The staff from the nurses to the Doctor were all very friendly and made you feel at ease. Would highly recommend this clinic and Dr San Joan Miguel. The staff were extremely polite and accommodating to my wife and children whilst they waited for me. All staff made myself and my family at ease. True professional and can't recommend them highly enough.

Incredible experience.

The price was as quoted (1000 euros).
The only downside was the support prior to the procedure (given by the reception) which was a little inadequate: I was told I couldnt eat before 8hours before the procedure which wasn't true and when I arrived at the clinic I was waiting for almost 2 hours.

The doctor and the aftercare treatment was exceptional. I would strongly recommend this clinic and if I have further treatments I will not hesitate in returning here.
