Blepharoplasty is the medicalterm used to remove the excess skin and the fat that is pushing out the skin,in both the upper and lower eyelids. The term blepharoplasty can also apply tothe creation of an upper eyelid fold, more popularly done in Asian or Orientalpatients.  For the more senior set ofpatients, the sides of the upper eyelids may cause them to experience a “blindspot” of their peripheral vision; in which case, a combination of a brow lift andupper eyelid blepharoplasty is best suited.
