The Non-Surgical Facelift with Dermal FillersThe 8 Point Lift is a specialised volumising and lifting facial treatment, also referred to as a non-surgical facelift or liquid facelift. The treatment uses dermal fillers to enhance and discreetly lift the face for a total rejuvenating effect. It is also known as the Fluid Facelift and the Liquid Lift.The 8 Point Lift targets key areas of the mid-face to lift, contour and revitalise the whole mid-face  and lower face. Side effects/risks: Swelling. bruising, lumpiness,rarely infection and also reports of blindness ( happens when the filler is accidentally injected into blood vessels- adequate precaution is taken before injecting to avoid this, by aspirating first to check that blood is not being drawn up, but there is that small element of risk). Milia are tiny white spots that appear as a result of blocked ducts. These can be quite conspicuous especially when multiple. They can be easily and effectively treated with diathermy where a mild electric current is passed into the milia through a very fine needle. The area is number with a local anaesthetic cream prior to treatment.

Skin tags are common blemishes that are commonly seen on the neck/face area. Can be easily removed with diathermy . I tend to numb the area with alocal anaesthetic cream or by injecting som elocal anaesthetic for larger tags.

Fine veins on the face appear red threadlike and are called Telangiectasia. These are easily and effectively treated with diathermy where a mild current is passed through a very fine needle . The area is numbed with some local anaesthetic cream , applied about 30m before the procedure. The very fine veins are then touched with the diathermy needle, which blanches them. You may require more than 1 treatment, usually 2. Side effects:Redness, swelling, scarring ( rare).You may continue to develop new threadveins if you are prone to them.
