Treatment for Lines and Wrinkles:

Line and wrinkle treatments are commonly used to treat for areas in the upper part of the face, these treatments can combat both fine lines and also deep wrinkles. The most popular are to treat are:   Frown lines between the eyes Forehead lines Crows feet  Over time, as we naturally age, overactive muscle movement gradually wears away the collagen in our skin, causing the skin to crease and wrinkles to appear. Line & wrinkle treatments relax these muscles, preventing the formation of wrinkles and smoothing out lines.

Treatment Received: Treatment for Wrinkles
I was contemplating anti-wrinkle injections for my frown lines, but was very nervous. Caroline was both reassuring and patient, taking the time to understand what I was after and to explain the treatment to me. I have to say I am thrilled with my new very natural relaxed appearance and can certainly recommend Skinboost in York.

Platelet Rich Plasma Filler

PRP Therapy ( Platelet-Rich Plasma Therapy) is a natural skin rejuvenation treatment which involves blood being taken from your arm, in the same way as a routine blood test, this is then put into a machine that separates the  platelets from the blood, these are then injected directly back into your face or an area of the body where you want to see rejuvenation of the skin. It is sometimes referred to as dracula/vampire treatment .

It is particularly good for the under eye area if you are d

Platelets contain high amounts of growth factors that help the body repair itself by stimulating cells to regenerate new tissue so as well as improving the skin tone the treatment also promotes healthy skin growth and collagen production so skin appears plumper fresher and more vibrant.

Am I suitable ?

This treatment is suitable for anyone who is looking for a more natural approach to anti-ageing treatments. PRP therapy is a completely safe and natural treatment and is highly effective at improving the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, sun damage and dull, tired looking skin. PRP can be used to rejuvenate the face, neck, decolletage, backs of hands and other body areas.

When do I see RESULTS:

Expect the skin to be visibly smoother, firmer and revitalised within three to six weeks of treatment and improvements in skin tone and texture will continue in the following months. Results usually last for 18 months and top-up treatments will maintain the effects.

RECOVERY TIME:

Typically minimal swelling and bruising may be experienced for 12-24 hours following this  treatment but very little down is required for this treatment and because your own blood is used there is minimal risk of side effects.

HOW OFTEN are the treatments:

It depends on the condition of the skin often patients require just one treatment but usually 2-3 treatments are recommended with a 4-5 week gap b

Radiesse™ / Radiance™ Filler

Radiesse dermal filler is an injectable for facial folds and wrinkles. Calcium  Hydroxylapatite has a history of safe use in otology (ears), laryngeal (vocal chords),  and dental and orthopedic applications.

It works in a different way to most dermal fillers which are made up from Hyaluronic acid, eg: [Treatment name removed] [Treatment name removed], because it works by stimulating the bodys own collagen to produce more.

Although it is still biodegradeable, it lasts longer than the hyaluronic acid fillers.

what is radiesse dermal filler used for?

Radiesse dermal filler is used to fill moderate to severe facial wrinkles and folds, such as nasolabial folds—the creases that extend from the corner of your nose to the  corner of your mouth, also marionette lines which are below the mouth.

can radiesse dermal filler work for me?

Talk to your nurse/doctor about your medical history when deciding on treatment options. You should also not choose Radiesse if you desire only short-term results.

how does radiesse dermal filler work?

Once injected, Radiesse immediately adds fullness to your face giving  you a visible result at the first treatment session. Radiesse filler contains microspheres made of a natural material called Calcium Hydroxylapatite in a water based gel carrier.

do injections of radiesse dermal filler hurt?

Radiesse  filler is injected in small amounts using a very fine needle. A cream is used to numb the skin beforehand, also local anaesthetic is added to the product to make the process more comfortable.

are skin tests needed before treatment with radiesse?

No skin testing is required prior to use.

should i tell my healthcare provider what medications i am taking?

Yes. You should tell your nurse/doctor about all the medicines you are taking, even over the  counter medicines or treatments. If you are taking blood thinners or medi

Excessive Sweating Treatment

This is proven to be a useful treatment  for the relief of severe primary axillary hyperhidrosis in patients unable to obtain relief using antiperspirants. Primary Hyperhidrosis means  excessive sweating which is not caused by a medical condition.

During this procedure, a very fine needle is used to inject small amounts of [Treatment name removed] just under the skin near the sweat glands responsible for excessive perspiration. Multiple injections are given based on the assessment of the area that needs to be treated.

Using tiny injections of [Treatment name removed] to alleviate the symptoms of hyperhidrosis is a promising approach. Research has shown that treating the armpits, with [Treatment name removed] is safe and effective.

[Treatment name removed] is a  purified protein with the ability to temporarily block the secretion of the chemical in the nervous system that is responsible for "turning on" the bodys sweat glands. By blocking, or interrupting, this chemical messenger, [Treatment name removed] "turns off" sweating at the area where it has been injected. This does not affect sweating anywhere else in the body just the underarm area.

The treatment takes about 30 minutes and it does not demand any restrictions in work or leisure activity (aside from refraining from intensive exercise or the use of a sauna on the day of the injections).

[Treatment name removed] injections do not cure hyperhidrosis; your symptoms will return gradually. Follow-up injections are required to maintain dryness. These repeat injections may be necessary at intervals varying from 3 to 12 months.

NB A full consultation needs to be carried out prior to any treatment to determine your suitability also information of different options will be given.

Lip Augmentation

Lips can be delicately enhanced and defined  to create contour and volume, there are specific ways to treat lips  rather than create sausage lips or trout pout which you so often see.

Biodegradeable dermal filers such as [Treatment name removed] [Treatment name removed] and Teosyal are used which break down over time, hyaluronic acid fillers, such as these, have been used for millions of treatments and are the safest available.

The lip filler is designed to enhance lip contours, increase lip volume, treat wrinkles around the mouth, bring support to lip corners and re-hydrate the lips, this is achieved by using hyaluronic acid that works especially well in the delicate tissue of the lips giving a natural effect that will typically last for between six and nine months.

With age, our skin tone gradually decreases and as a result, the skin dries out and becomes fragile and the first wrinkles appear.

Lip treatments combat this natural progression and will help to reshape lip contours, increase lip volume and treat wrinkles around the mouth, delivering the perfect pout.
