Having suffered from severe hirsutism from the age of 16, I understood the devastating effect that excess hair can have on your confidence and self esteem. I was the patient the trainee Drs came to view; with long dark hair even on my fingers and toes. After 23 years of an hour per week of painful electrolysis on my face and neck, I still had a lot of the hair. It had also left me very badly scarred from inappropriate treatment. So I decided to find alternative treatments to help myself, and ended up opening my own clinic in 1998 to help people 'like me'. I initially started with diathermy and galvanic electrolysis, but quickly moved into IPL & Laser. After treating myself with IPL for 12 months, for the 1st time since age 16, my body was free of the long dark excess hair.
