Dermal filler is a substance that is injected into the dermis of the skin in order to fill or plump the area. Fillers are used to treat wrinkles, creases and restore volume to the face or body. Although there are many different types of fillers, the most popular are hyaluronic acid (HA) fillers. HA is a substance that already exists in the skin; one of its’ main functions is to hydrate and plump the skin.

Basically fat is injected into the healthy tissue bed of the depression to minimise absorption. ‘Fat Grafting’ is a day case, post operatively we do not put any dressings on the improved area but, you will have a small dressing on the donor area.
