Gastric bypass, also called Roux-en-Y (roo-en-wy) gastric bypass, is a type of weight loss surgery that involves creating a small pouch from the stomach and connecting the newly created pouch directly to the small intestine.Gastric bypass is one of the most common types of bariatric surgery such as Gastric Sleeve.
Gastric Sleeve  
Gastric sleeve surgery, sleeve gastrectomy, or weight loss surgery are bariatric surgery to lose weight. In this surgery, a large part of the stomach is removed and the person feels full after eating a small amount of food. The surgery also makes people feel less hungry because they have a smaller stomach that will produce lower levels of the hunger-inducing hormone called ghrelin. Losing weight after sleeve gastrectomy can help reduce problems with type 2 diabetes, asthma attacks, and blood pressure, and may help improve heart health.
Gastric Balloon  
This treatment is a non-surgical treatment method performed in 30-40 minutes by the endoscopic method. The balloon with a volume of 400-600 ml is placed in the stomach proportionally. After six months, the balloon should be removed with the same procedure. With the support of a nutritionist and this treatment, you can lose weight between 10-30 kg.

I could not recommend Dr Durukan and he’s team enough. I had previously been to another country for a rhinoplasty and I did not have the best experience, so I was anxious about going abroad for surgery again but this time I had such an amazing experience. Dr Durukan was so amazing he listened to everything I wanted and was available for me 24/7 for any questions I had. I was amazed by how many contacts I had with him. He is so friendly and approachable and I could tell he really cares for he’s patients. Nehir and Teoman are amazing they were in contact with me every day and came to my hotel, they were always on time and were so friendly and helped me with everything I needed. The hospital was spotless the staff are so lovely and professional. I am very impressed with my result and I highly recommend Dr Durukan and he’s team. I will be returning.

Gastric Bypass means that a part of the stomach and intestines are bypassed and left out of use in obesity surgery.With gastric bypass, a stomach section of approximately 30-50 cc is prepared and sutured to the small intestine. Some of the food taken with gastric bypass surgery is removed from the intestines without being absorbed. After gastric bypass surgery, patients fill up faster and only part of the food they take is absorbed.It is performed laparoscopically (closed).

I had a gastric sleeve a month ago I opted for the robot procedure it was the best thing I’ve ever done. I’ve had the best treatment at the hospital. All the staff were friendly and supportive. All the tests they performed were rigorous and thorough. My surgeon who performed the procedure was Prof Dr Abdulkadir Bedirli he was fabulous from start to finish he came to see me after the opp and then every day to see how I was. The hospital was so clean and tidy- every room had en suite. The nurses were attentive to the patients individual needs. Even the international team who liaised with me from the beginning to the end where fantastic answering all my questions.
