I have had the Gastric Balloon Spatz 3 one week ago, I am a British Lady living in Asia and I was scared, to say the least going somewhere I just picked out of WhatClinic site.
I have never in my 50 years experience so much care and attention to my well being than at the Rattinan Clinic. From the online chat, I was worried was this a hoax or something but when I started chatting with Maricar on the online chat I was put at ease, she was quick to answer, she kept me updated with what was going on, she was just excellent in communicating.
I went to the clinic on the day before my Balloon insertion, from the side road I got nervous as I was not sure where I was going, then I appeared on the 12A floor of the building and WOW it was just great, so clean, so many smiles from the ladies amazing making me feel relaxed from the get-go.
Then I met Dr Treeratana, what a very nice man, he explained to me the difference between - balloon/bypass/sleeve, he put up drawings and he wrote up what the pros and cons of each one was, what I should expect. It was just great to see the care and attention.
The next day my day of my surgery I got picked up at my hotel with a lovely driver in a nice car, the driver wearing the Rattinan clinic uniform explained to me what's next, he was lovely, he stayed the whole time with me. When we got to the hospital, nerves set in as we all know when your in a different country its never the same, however, the staff made me feel relaxed, I got the drip in and moved up to the operating room. Again the staff in here were excellent, talked to me, smiles were great.
Then I met Dr Panot Yimcharoen - Again what a lovely man, talked to me, and the music was playing as he spoke it was such a wonderful experience, so peaceful... I went to the operation room again and was made to feel at ease. The operation took less than 20 mins and after I woke up it took a couple of hours only till I went back to my hotel.
The aftercare for me was excellent - as soon as I got in the hotel the Clinic called to make sure I was ok. Coong another lovely lady talked to me, 6 hours later she called again to my room to make sure I was ok and not having any difficulty. Next day I was told to go in for the drip just to make sure I was not dehydrated as you have to not eat and drink for 24 hours after. I felt great, little cramps but no issue, no sickness, nothing.
Next day went in for my drip. I was then looking at what they had to offer in the clinic and talked to Coong, I saw they had Femilift service. I was having difficulty with my bladder sometimes letting loose if I cough. So after I got the drip out, I went in for this Femilift same day. The doctor again she was lovely, she spends 10 mins and pain-free nothing. It was like lesser than a smear test. Really worth it. Ladies if you are like me, and embarrassed about this, forget that, if you are a sufferer get it done, it makes life amazing. I only have the first one and its a 3-course program if this is what I get after one, I can't wait till after how I will feel when it's completed.
I am one week today post surgery and I am 3KG off, no urine expelled since fantastic, no sickness, no pain, just feeling full. Gastric Balloons are mind changing, you have to train your brain not to eat, not your stomach and change your eating habits for it to really benefit.
I must say this experience for me was wonderful. If you are in two minds or worried - Just do it , Rattinan Clinic gives you the all round service, with wonderful staff who are experienced and know what they are doing. Trust yourself, take the leap, you will feel so much better when you see yourself the place. What an exceptional team of talent there is plus, to top this the Expertise of Dr Panot and Dr Treeratana has to be the best I have experienced ever! I thought nothing would compare to the skill of the UK doctors, but I was wrong, the UK doctors could learn a thing or two from the Rattinan staff.
Thank you for making me feel confident again! I will be back for more.
