Now I can ever run a littleJuan, Ireland, 12 03 22

I went in January this year with terrible knee pain for which capsules and a cold gel were advised. After 3 weeks I was still in pain and could barely bend my knee or walk. But at Care Cure after 5 sessions the care and treatment including cupping and acupuncture were a godsend for it. Now I can ever run a little! Thanks very much to all the team at the clinic. The name says it. You CARE about your customers !!

Increase Fertility with Acupuncture. There are many reasons why couples have difficulty conceiving - irregular menstruation, hormone imbalance, cold uterus, and low sperm count to name a few. Whatever the reason infertility can be a major cause of stress and hopelessness in otherwise healthy couples. Acupuncture combined with herbal medicine has been used for centuries to treat the causes of infertility. Acupuncture in particular has been known to dramatically increase fertility by regulating the menstrual cycle in females and invigorating and increasing sperm count in males. A German Study conducted in 2002 used two groups of women experiencing fertility difficulties, to determine the effects of acupuncture on IVF treatments. In the first group, acupuncture treatments were carried out 25 minutes before embryo transfer and 25 minutes after the embryo was inserted into the uterus. In the second group, no acupuncture treatments were given. Study findings showed a successful pregnancy rate of 42.5% in the first group of women compared to 26.3% in the second group that had no acupuncture treatments. This highlighted a significant difference of 16.2% between the two groups of women. In each Care Cure clinic, we look for the underlying problem of disharmony which is preventing conception. Treatments for fertility difficulties and male impotency usually include acupuncture, acupressure, moxibustion and herbal medicines.

It is run by Malou Wang, a practitioner with over 25 years experience in Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine in Dublin and Shanghai and Dublin. Having worked and trained in Chinese and Irish hospitals, Malou ensures a balance between Eastern and Western medicine in her practice. After 4 years of studying at Dublin Business School, I have been awarded a bachelor degree BA in Counselling and Psychotherapy. These studies have enhanced my empathetic understanding of feelings of myself and others. When Western medicine and philosophy meets Eastern, it allows Mind, Body and Spirit to emerge into the ‘ONE’. The therapist was extremely knowledgeable and professionalBarbara, Ireland, 06 09 22

Really appreciate that I was contacted quickly after leaving a voicemail to fit me in for an appointment on that day which was badly needed. I had a deep tissue massage which was extremely helpful towards my painful back. The therapist was extremely knowledgeable and professional. I will definitely be going back very soon.

Acupuncture is a therapeutic practice that originated in China thousands of years ago. In western medicine, the goal is often to diagnose disease and treat it specifically; in acupuncture, the goal is to strengthen the entire mind and body, supporting our inherent resilience and resistance to disease. According to traditional Chinese philosophy, our health is dependent on the body’s motivating energy (Qi, pronounced ‘chee’) moving in a smooth and balanced way through a series of channels (meridians) beneath the skin that connect the interior and exterior of the body, and the internal systems to each other. Qi consists of equal and opposite qualities – Yin and Yang. When Qi becomes blocked or disrupted, illness can result. Acupuncture aims to bring all systems into balance by inserting fine needles into the meridians. It can also be used to complement conventional medicine. What can acupuncture treat? Acupuncture has been used to treat a range of conditions including: *       Anxiety and depression. *       Arthritis and rheumatism. *       Asthma. *       High blood pressure. *       Menstrual cramps. *       Skin problems. *       Pain relief in childbirth. *       Addiction – smoking, alcohol and drugs. What happens during an acupuncture session? If it is your first session, the acupuncturist will assess your general health to ensure that you receive the most effective treatment. They may enquire about your current symptoms, treatment you have received so far, medical history, your close family’s medical history, diet, digestive system, sleeping patterns and emotional state. Fertility Acupuncture
Fertility Undoubtedly, the area of fertility is Health and Harmonys Number One specialism. We understand how trying and frustrating infertility issues can be for any couple. Our chief practitioner, Dr Jane Li has had over 25 years of experience in reproductive health and is a TCM expert in the field ranging from conception, each trimester of pregnancy to post-natal care as well as male infertility issues. Fertility issues can be caused by underlying health conditions such as uterine fibroids, blocked fallopian tubes, endometriosis or polycystic ovaries. Infuriatingly, they can also be unexplained. At Health and Harmony, our treatments aim to complement whichever path you have decided to follow to conception. You can opt for TCM alone or TCM can assist in raising the chances of success with in-vitro fertilization. Traditional Chinese Medicine sees fertility as the balance of Qi, Yin, Yang and Blood and problems can be treated on the basis of a careful differential diagnosis to resolve underlying patterns of disharmony. There may be either a "deficient" condition that leads to poor nourishment of the body and organs or an "excess" condition that obstructs the organs and energy channels. Often, the stress of attempting to conceive can be counter-productive. The statistics published by the Fertility and Sterility medical journal has estimated that 26% of women undergoing IVF became pregnant following the procedure compared to 43% who received acupuncture before and after IVF. This equates to a nearly 50% increase in effectiveness of IVF combined with acupuncture. Treatment with TCM is highly individualised and comprise of a mixture of both herbal medicine and acupuncture. We prefer to treat both the male and female partner, in our experience, even without issues of sperm count and motility, the additional boost can speed up the process significantly.

Acupuncture Acupuncture is arguably the best known branch of traditional Chinese medicine, as a treatment, it can be traced back 5,000 years. As a form of stimulus therapy, acupuncture is an integral part of Traditional Chinese Medicine to restore health by way of correcting imbalances in the body. Acupuncture aims to regulate the meridians or channels of the body to re-open the Qi or energy of the body that may be blocked. Meridians (or channels) are a complex system of lines running over the body linking various points on the body’s surface. The Meridian system distributes Qi, Blood and Fluids around the body. Each Meridian has the same therapeutic and diagnostic associations as a particular organ of the body. There are two types of Channels: the regular Channels (called the Jing Mai) and the smaller offshoots of the main Channels called the collaterals (or Luo Mai). There are 14 main Meridians, one for each of the Organs, plus the governing and reception vessels (Du Mai and Ren Mai respectively). These help to regulate the flow of Qi and Blood. Tiny needles are inserted into the body at specific points. The sensations associated with acupuncture cannot be likened to pain, depending on the acupoint, sensations can vary between a pinch and an expanding feeling of the relevant area. At Health and Harmony, we only use one-use sterile acupuncture needles. We have found acupuncture to be the most popular form of TCM treatment when it comes to musculoskeletal pain but it should not be underestimated in treatments for infertility, respiratory conditions and digestive well-being.
