I wanted to get rid of the really large knot in my back and went for a deep tissue massage. I found the treatment excellent. The doctor was very professional and gave me some excellent advice, too. However, even though he solved my problem, I won’t be going back. It’s a very nice, family clinic. Treatment was 100% good value. Unfortunately, the Massage was too strong for me. The doctor asked me if I wanted to go deep, and I said yes. I just didn’t realise it would be that intense. He solved my problem, though.

Conditions treated include back pain, fertility issues (IVF, endometriosis, PCOS, PMT, Low Ovarian Reserve, etc), pregnancy related issues, migraine, sinusitis, neck pain, sports injuries, support during treatment for cancer, anxiety, stress, insomnia, in addition to the remaining 40 common conditions which the W.H.O. recognises as responding well to acupuncture. AcuWell founder, Maria Maher, originally studied acupuncture because it helped relieve the negative side effects she experienced from chemotherapy and radiotherapy treatment following surgery to remove a brain tumour. She has a special interest in fertility & pregnancy and has trained with fertility and pregnancy experts Zita West, Jani White, Debra Betts, Dr. Trevor Wing and Sarah Budd. She received a Diploma (with Distinction) in TCM Gynaecology & Obstetrics - Acupuncture from Dr. Trevor Wing. Maria is a founder-member of the Zita West affiliated acupuncturist network, established in Ireland in 2009, and is a founder member of AFPI (Acupuncture for Fertility & Pregnancy Ireland). She also has a Diploma in Chinese Herbal Medicine. AcuWell clinic in Ranelagh is open on Saturdays & Sundays, by appointment, for IVF embryo transfers. AcuWell also has a clinic in Athlone, Co. An initial treatment includes a full consultation in order to derive a diagnosis in terms of Traditional Chinese Medicine. This initial treatment lasts approx. 75 minutes and costs €65. A follow-up acupuncture treatment is generally given on a weekly basis for 4 to 6 weeks, and then once every two weeks after that. Each treatment lasts approx. 60 minutes and costs either €55 or €60, depending on the location of the Clinic.

I went in January this year with terrible knee pain for which Vimovo capsules and a cold gel were advised. After 3 weeks I was still in pain and could barely bend my knee or walk. But at Care Cure after 5 sessions the care and treatment including cupping and acupuncture were a godsend for it. Now I can ever run a little! Thanks very much to all the team at the clinic. Increase Fertility with Acupuncture. There are many reasons why couples have difficulty conceiving - irregular menstruation, hormone imbalance, cold uterus, and low sperm count to name a few. Whatever the reason infertility can be a major cause of stress and hopelessness in otherwise healthy couples. Acupuncture combined with herbal medicine has been used for centuries to treat the causes of infertility. Acupuncture in particular has been known to dramatically increase fertility by regulating the menstrual cycle in females and invigorating and increasing sperm count in males. A German Study conducted in 2002 used two groups of women experiencing fertility difficulties, to determine the effects of acupuncture on IVF treatments. In the first group, acupuncture treatments were carried out 25 minutes before embryo transfer and 25 minutes after the embryo was inserted into the uterus. In the second group, no acupuncture treatments were given. Study findings showed a successful pregnancy rate of 42.5% in the first group of women compared to 26.3% in the second group that had no acupuncture treatments. This highlighted a significant difference of 16.2% between the two groups of women. In each Care Cure clinic, we look for the underlying problem of disharmony which is preventing conception. Treatments for fertility difficulties and male impotency usually include acupuncture, acupressure, moxibustion and herbal medicines.

I attended Kate's clinic for sinus and ear issues I was having over the span of 4 months. Kate was always very professional, friendly and caring. Right from the first consultation call she was easy to chat to and took a genuine interest in how I was feeling each week and wanted to help. I felt Kate really listened carefully to how my symptoms were each week and then tailored the acupuncture session accordingly. I left each session feeling relaxed and invigorated.
