"I have completed six sessions and certainly feel they have been beneficial"
4.5 50Reviewed 16 Jul 2016 Verified user. Review confirmed by email.
Treatment Received: Hydrotherapy
I have been given a number of exercises to practice at home in between sessions at the hydro pool. The first session was with a physio who demonstrated each water exercise he wanted me to follow and the remaining sessions allowed me to carry out the exercises myself in my own time. I have completed six sessions and certainly feel they have been beneficial

In searching for a clinic, I found this one to seem like good value for money and a convenient distance from my home. My first impression was good and to date I have been very satisfied. I would certainly recommend this clinic

Job Title:
  Physiotherapist
Biography:
Physiotherapist – (HPC No: PH88993). Having completed a degree in Biological Sciences at the University of Edinburgh, she went on to achieve a First Class Honours degree in Physiotherapy at The University of Southampton. After qualification in the summer of 2008, she worked for one year as a static musculo-skeletal outpatient physiotherapist at Bexhill hospital. At this time she spent her weekends running a water based exercise group at the local swimming pool, prescribing exercises for orthopaedic, chronic conditions and elderly care patients. Outside of work she enjoy a range of sporting activities including running, swimming, cycling and pilates. Although she have not had as much spare time in recent months, as she have recently become a mother for the first time and my one year old certainly keeps me on my toes.

I moved to UK in 2011 after my marriage and since then have worked in both private sector and NHS as an MSK physiotherapist. Mrs Helen Pound

Biography:
Neurophysiotherapist

I qualified as a physiotherapist in 1986 from Manchester School of Physiotherapy. I then worked as a physiotherapist in Portsmouth before travelling around the world for a year in 1989 – 1990. On my return I joined the inpatient physiotherapy teams at local hospitals and had the opportunity to work with patients who had suffered from many different neurological conditions including stroke, multiple sclerosis, head injury and Parkinson’s Disease. From there I developed my clinical skills by working within a specialist rehabilitation team where we supported patients with long term neurological conditions as well as providing skilled treatment for newly diagnosed conditions. I left the NHS in November 2005 to join LBhealthcare to set up a neurophysiotherapy clinic to treat stroke victims, MS and Parkinson’s sufferers. At LBhealthcare I have developed a hydrotherapy service for Parkinson’s Disease sufferers and work closely with the local Fareham and District Branch of the Parkinson’s Disease Society.

I have 2 young children which keep me on my toes and have always enjoyed taking part in sporting activities. I enjoy most water sports and am a keen scuba diver and sailor. I am a regular attendee of the gym to keep myself fit and active.
I am state registered with the Health Professions Council (HPC), a member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (MCSP) and of the Association of Chartered Physiotherapists in Neurology (ACPIN).

Miss Karla Lambert

Biography:
Sports Therapist
I completed a Sports Therapy degree in 2016 from the University of Chichester and qualified with a upper second class honours degree. As a child and into my teenage years I was very active and involved in a lot of sport such as TeamGym, dance and trampolining. My passion for sports therapy stemmed from seeing team mates suffer with sport ending injuries and I was fascinated with the rehabilitation they had to go through to get back to fitness.
I have worked in a private sports massage clinic as-well as volunteering at a semi professional football club delivering pitch side sports therapy and running two evenings clinics for the 2015/2016 season. I then went on to work work as the first team sports therapist for the 2016 pre season period. I enjoy working in a team environment and would love to work with more sports teams/ athletes in the future, focusing on the rehabilitation elements in order to return individuals to optimal function.
Outside of working I love to keep fit through gym based resistance sessions and classes. I also enjoy seeing new places and going on city breaks when I can.

Mr Oliver Bennett

Biography:
Sports Therapist
I graduated from the University of the West of England in 2017 with a BSc Hon in Sports Therapy and Rehabilitation. For the last year I have worked at Cheltenham Town Football Club as their Assistant Therapist during the 2017/18 season.
My passion for the profession first grew following personal injuries and seeing team mates recover from theirs. Experiencing the reward first hand that rehabilitation gives once you return to sport or everyday life, is something that I want to help everyone feel.
I am a avid sportsman playing Hockey, Tennis and I am a keen White Water Kayaker, also keeping fit and healthy by attending a local gym.
