Aleks is a multi-faceted Complementary therapist with over 10 years experience working with clients in London and overseas. Her practice is informed by the study of psychotherapy, astrology, acupressure, essential oils, therapeutic bodywork, working with themes of shame and energy healing. She works closely with other practitioners in the UK, Canada and the US and always strives to update her therapeutic skills. Aleks worked for 9 years as a biodynamic counsellor and bodyworker at the Women & Health charity in Camden Town and participated in many of their projects providing access to therapies to carers and women in the community. She also worked with The Rape Crisis with women who experienced sexual violence and at The Stress Project with people with serious mental health issues. Aleks initially trained in counselling and therapeutic bodywork at the Chiron Body Psychotherapy Centre and the Cambridge Centre for Body Psychotherapy where she studied the relationship between the mind and body with the use of Biodynamic massage. She then supplemented her skills with trainings in holistic massage, aromatherapy, face massage and pregnancy massage. Aleks’s big passion is also working with emotions and guided mindfulness meditation. She trained in EFT, Emotional Clearing and EmoTrance to be able to help her clients release negative feelings, dissolve stress and learn to relax. She is currently training in traditional and psychological astrology to be able to add another layer of understanding of the human psyche. She is in a regular supervision with an experienced facilitator. Aleks is also a Holistic Birth Doula and attended many births in Bali, Indonesia and the UK.

Amanda completed a Bachelors Degree in Fine Arts and Visual Art from NSW University, Sydney, Australia in 1996 and in the same year began a different career in another form of art focussing on the human form: A diploma in Swedish massage, shortly followed in 1997 with a diploma in Remedial massage. Inspired to continue studying, as the year 2000 came to a close, Clinical Aromatherapy, with a dissertation on cancer, was also added to her repertoire. Amanda worked for various spas and natural product companies before coming to the UK 13 years ago. Over the years in London, Amanda has studied Reiki I and II, La Stone Therapy, Hopi Ear Candles and Hydrotherm massage. Amanda undertook the Dr.Hauschka treatment and product training to compliment the bodywork component to her practice. This in turn greatly enhanced her knowledge and understanding of the skin and how to treat it when in distress or for general health and welbeing. Most recently completing her Yoga Teacher training in India, June 2013. These products, facials, treatments and yoga allow her to provide a truly holistic experience for each client. Also during this time, Amanda spent 9 years practicing in the Oncology Department at London Bridge Hospital, having a keen interest in working with people affected by cancer or the treatment of cancer. Guiding many patients in the use of complementary therapies to help themselves through the stress of diagnosis and subsequent processes. Concurrently, with a colleague, developing a post surgical scar massage technique, that is beneficial for any surgical scar from a physiological and emotional perspective. Her aim is to take this experience out of the hospital environment, and combined with yoga, provide a comprehensive support during this most distressing time.

As a Life Coach Andy is passionate about helping people to make the changes they need in order to discover their unique path and innate wellbeing. Through various tools of self-awareness, inquiry and accountability he helps people to take the empowering actions that create fulfilling lives. Having been a buddhist monastic for nine years in France, then studying western psychological modalities and receiving his coaching training with Sir John Whitmore’s highly respected Performance Consultants International, Andy brings to his work the depth of 18 years of experience in the field of self-knowledge and development. Andy provides coaching services to business managers and professionals from all over the world via Skype as well as face-to-face here in London.

Originally from Poland, Ewa is a fully qualified beauty therapist (NVQ3) with eight years experience. She joined the Shine team in 2007 and with her excellent customer care, extensive product knowledge and treatment training in Dermalogica, Aveda, Thalgo, Yonka and more she quickly progressed to beauty manager at Shine on the Green. She is an advocate for a natural holistic approach to health and beauty and combines her passion and knowledge to promote and maintain healthy, beautiful skin. She particularly enjoys facials, eyebrow shaping and, for those special occasions, parties, weddings and more, make-up sessions using our fantastic range of cosmetics.
