About Ella Fletcher

I am a medical Herbalist, practicing in the tradition of Master Herbalism. I use iridology (iris analysis) and nutritional advice alongside the herbal medicine to create a well rounded healing programme.

I am passionate about the use of plants to build health.

My focus is on using local and organic plant based nutrition and h

erbal medicine for healing.

Herbs and diet, as well as various other lifestyle adjustments can be used to help the body heal a range of health challenges.

Whilst herbal medicine and plant based nutrition can be used to help issues as diverse as digestive problems, menstrual issues, menopausal issues, skin conditions, joint and muscle pain, insomnia, men's health, fertility issues, I am particularly interested in the use of herbs to help stress and stress related issues.

I believe that stress can be an instrumental influence on the disease process. Stress can cause or contribute to health imbalances, but it can also arise from health issues. Dealing with illness is stressful, for the person affected and those around them.
So in a number of ways, stress management can really support a person through their healing.

I am city centre based. I am available by appointment at Dublin Holistic Centre.
You can contact me through Dublin Holistic Centre or by my personal phone or email address.
Don't hesitate to give me a shout if you have any questions at all. I would be happy to answer them for you.

Biography:
I am a Medical Herbalist trained in the tradition of Master Herbalism. I studied for 4 years at the Irish School of Herbal Medicine in Portlaoise. My studies were structured on an apprenticeship model, which has afforded me extensive clinical experience. Master Herbalism recognises the body’s innate healing ability. In this tradition of healing, we have found that given the correct circumstances, the body will heal itself. It is the job of the herbalist to discern the needs of the person to allow this healing to take place. Building vitality of the individual is a primary focus in order to allow the body to move toward a healing state. Whilst herbal medicine can be applied to any healing or health maintenance situation, I am particularly interested in the treatment of stress. In my clinical experience, I have seen the detrimental effects of excess stress on the health of the person. Stress can be a major underlying factor in the process of disease, and likewise, coping with illness can cause serious emotional and physical stress for the individual. During a consultation a full case history is taken to gain insight into underlying processes at play in the health of the person. Diet and lifestyle adjustments are recommended where necessary. Herbs are prescribed to help direct and strengthen the body’s healing ability. Iridology, analysis of the Iris of the eye, is used as part of the consultation to give deeper insights into potential imbalances, and strengths in the person.
