A Hypnotherapy service with a special interest in treating patients with irritable bowel syndrome is offered at this clinic located within the Wellforce Integrated Medicine Centre located at Wilkinson Street in Sheffield. The qualified hypnotherapist  offers a free 15 minute consultation where she explains her services to potential clients and allows them to find out if Hypnotherapy interests them. She performs hypnotherapy to increase relaxation and reduce stress  and uses gut-directed suggestions, the purpose of which is to modify gut function and sensitivity. She also helps people deal with the way IBS can make them feel about themselves and can give advice on practical solutions if required.  Therapy usually involves 6 sessions lasting for one hour over 2 to 3 months and follow up sessions if requested to ensure that patients enjoy continuous relief.
