The practice established in 1946 places a high priority on the professional care given to patients. The practice is situated in Wallasey and the nearest railway station is New Brighton. The practice is accredited by the British Dental Association, The Faculty of General Dental Practitioners and the Good Practice scheme. The practice is operated by Dr. Richard Furness, Dr. Alix Furness and their team. Private patients, patients who subscribe to Denplan and patients on the NHS are welcome. Treatments include, restorative dentistry, preservative dentistry, cosmetic dentistry, services of a dental hygienist, minor oral surgery, specialist referrals and second opinions.

There are now two brand new surgeries that have all the latest equipment, including digital x-rays. These are very beneficial, taking less time to develop, having a high quality result, exposing less radiation and also giving a clearer understanding of your treatment. Along with the new surgeries we have installed a new decontamination area for cleaning/sterilising instruments, which is the up to date standard for cross infection control. Our dental hygienist/therapist, Jane Mc Alindin has become well established within the practice. Jane’s role is to improve dental health and provide thorough scale and polish treatments. We understand that there are members of the public struggling to find an NHS dentist within the area. Unfortunately it is difficult for us to treat more patients on the NHS due to the lack of funding from the local PCT. However we have introduced our own independent scheme that
