My smile still looks top notch.Mel, Cape Town, 06 06 16

I went for dental bonding to close a gap. Everything was clearly explained and all the options were given to me. It was successfully done. No, hassles. My smile still looks top notch. The reason I chose it because it was close to home and there was no consultation fee. First stepping inside the building I was surprised by how busy it was, which told me that people trusted this place. I was also happy that all the latest dental procedures are available here. The dentist who took care of me was friendly and professional. Thanks, KDC. Awesome work.

The experience so far is greatGerrie, South Africa, 23 07 18

So far I can only praise Dr Hartshorne for his work so far. This is a journey for me. I have been treated by him for about 8 months for 3 dental implants and the experience so far is great. I know this is expensive, however, I have trust in Dr Hartshorne ability and work. Happy with service so far.

A dental implant is an artificial titanium tooth root which is screwed into the jaw bone through surgery. It replaces a missing or damaged natural tooth root. Today the majority of dental implants are made out of 98% pure titanium because of its strength and biocompatibility. The diameter can vary between 3 and 5 mm and the length between 10 and 15 mm, depending on the maxillary and the bone mass of the patient. Implant success is determined by its placement in the maxillary bone and its function. Nowadays implants carry a success rate of around 97%. The implants procedure is suited to replacing missing teeth. The patient must have enough bone mass where the tooth is missing to place the implant and ensure its osseo-integration. Once the osseo-integration made, a dental implant can last for the rest of your life. Dental implants are also used in prosthetic dentistry to support full maxillary restorations. A variation on the implant procedure is then the implant-supported bridge, or implant-supported denture. Implants are increasingly used to replace some kind of bridges and dentures that do not fit anymore and become uncomfortable.
