I arranged my dental care with Gabriel of Clear Choice, Costa Rica (CR) some months ago. Gabriel was knowledgeable about the procedures I may go through and very patient with me. Clear Choice CR provided me with all the information I requested about the clinic, their staff, Doctors, and their credentials, which are above any credentials of any dentists I have had in the past. Gabriel arranged everything for me upon receiving my itinerary. The hotel that he suggested was more than adequate and in a safe and quiet neighbourhood.
Arriving in San Jose, CR I was escorted through customs and immigration by a representative of Clear Choice CR that met me at the arrival gate. It was a breeze. I was delivered to Gabriel who was waiting outside. We discussed how the first couple of days were going to go and what had to be done prior to any dental work being done on me. I was to get the required panoramic x-ray of my teeth and jaws, and then meet with the Clinic Doctors to discuss the procedures that I would need, based of the x-ray and physical exam.
The following day Gabriel took me to get the panoramic x-ray and to the clinic for a dental exam and overall heath evaluation, to insure I was medicaly stable enough to have the major dental work that I would be needing.
I was ready to have a complete Hybrid implant of "all on 4" for both upper and lower teeth. After the exam of the x-ray and the physical exam by Dr. Alejandro and Dr, Veronica, I was told that it would be unethical to remove all of my teeth because they were not unhealthy roots and were firmly within the jaw and gum. I was advised to keep my good teeth and undergo a "Teeth Lengthening" procedure with 7 implants in total for the first phase of a two-phase plan. In the second phase I would receive a full veneer and crowns for 23teeth and 7 implants. I agreed to the procedures and went ahead with the teeth lengthening, and implants. I did chose to have general anesthetic and I was cared for by an empathetic staff and wonderful team of doctors. I have just now returned from my first phase and looking forward to my return and completing the 2nd, and final phase, once my implants have healed in, sometime in March,
The work being performed is at the best value possible, without any trade-off for quality and workmanship. I have calculated that once the 2nd phase is complete that the total cost of procedures and materials will be less than one-third of what it would cost in the USA; making the procedures through Clear Choice Costa Rica affordable and the experience pleasant.
