I decided at the age of 50 to have breast implants and was recommended Mr Awf Quaba who specialised in this field. My operation took place at the Murrayfield Spire and I was well looked after before and after my operation. Unfortunately, 4 years on I was getting breast implant illness symptoms, I was in a lot of discomfort in the breast area, had hair thinning, anxiety, ocular migraine headaches and development an autoimmune disease which had to be treated by Prednisolone. After reading about BII I decided in 2021 to see Mr Quaba once again to get his advice. I must say he was very understanding and told me the pros and cons of getting a full capsulectomy which removes the implants and capsules surrounding them. In October 2021 I was booked into the Shawfair Spire Hospital and Mr Quaba performed by full capsulectomy which was very successful. 6 months down the line I am feeling so much better with no breast pain, hair has got thicker and no ocular migraine headaches. I am also down to 2mg of steriods and my neck and shoulder pain has almost gone with my scars hardly visible. I can honestly say Mr Quaba has looked after me so well and I would highly recommend anyone who is considering explant surgery to seek advice from such a professional. These are not cheap procedures but all in all it was well worth the money to get my health back!

Where do I start … I’ve needed surgery for 2 years - it’s quite an embarrassing subject for a woman. I researched a lot and spoke to many surgeons until I came across “SIGNATURE CLINIC”. I spoke with 2 different surgeons from this company all absolutely lovely and made me feel comfortable the second surgeon Dr Ambro or Amro (my apologies if I’ve spelt this wrong) he was such an amazing happy surgeon who made me feel at ease. He assured me he was there to help, after looking at me and what I needed he was 100% honest and he knew I needed a specialist and so he made a few calls and came back with an answer “Dr John would do it”!! The joy and excitement I couldn’t believe it - I was actually going to be fixed! I met John and it was the best day of my life just for him to confirm and to be reassured that I can be fixed!! Oh, my apologies I missed out I'd actually gone to Turkey two years before for surgery and this is why I was struggling to find a surgeon to touch me because if you have a scar there and add another scar the skin between will die!! So please DONT EVER GO TO TURKEY!!!!!!!” Go to SIGNATURE CLINIC!!!!! Anyways back to John, I booked in for the Thur and I couldn’t of asked for a better team. The girls are amazing! I’d been in a few times before and they’re were always smiles and looking after me making me feel comfortable/ calm and so everything you want when you go into a place like this. I felt so lucky to have found such a place with such an amazing group of people! The two girls Patricia and Aminah honestly I cannot tell you how amazing they are and were to me seriously these two girls got me through the whole process. I honestly don’t think I would of been able to get through it all with anyone else! They made me feel safe and Patricia calmed me down because I’m scared of needles so by singing to me she made me feel sooo relaxed (voice of an angel). I will never forget what they both did and obviously, Dr John is an amazing AMAZING AMAZING SURGEON 1 MILLION PERCENT RECOMMEND. He made me feel so comfortable and relaxed around him! So to any woman suffering out there in silence and it’s ruining your life or relationships. Please please book a consultation with these guys I promise you …YOU WILL NOT regret it!!!!
