So I had my chest liposuction and gland excision done a fortnight back and I want to share my experience, personal as well as with Chennai plastic surgery. To start with, I have been at the receiving end of gynecomastia for the past 12 years. Though I don't know the exact thing as such till I completed my school I always thought after 12th std we will hit the gym and get it sorted. Only during my final year mbbs I realized that it is not something that can be corrected with exercise and surgery is the only option to the way out. And during my internship fortunately I got to see and to an extent closely watch the surgery performed in my college for gynecomastia correction and understood that okay there are indeed a lot of people suffering from it and undergoing the surgery. Finally, after all the long deliberation and making my parents understand that surgery is the way out I zeroed in on Chennai plastic surgery and Dr Karthik. So the reasons why I went with them are, my very first phone call consultation with Dr Karthik sir. I was totally spell bounded by the way he responded to all my doubts and explained me everything in detail. Probably they are the only cosmetic surgery Centre who really cares and had a technique to give the best possible results of GRADE 4 gynecomastia (as was mine) with the LIFTING PLASTER TECHNIQUE. They have done more than 3000+ surgeries and with that much experience, they have the answer for everything. State of the art equipment and post op care. Okay coming to one peculiar issue before surgery was, the fear of General Anesthesia ( have seen a few people commenting in YouTube videos too). Though a doctor myself somehow I developed this fear and even asked Dr.Karthik Ram sir whether is it possible to do the surgery under local anesthesia ,sedation. Dr.Karthik was gracious enough to explain in so much detail about the need and benefits of GA for my own needs and the excellent team of Anesthesiologists they have got there and made me understand after all General anaesthesia is not something to be feared rather something to be experienced. So to the ones who are having similar fear, my experience was, Anesthesia doctors gently whispered to me that I will slowly go into sleep and on the other side Dr.Karthik told me have a small nap and I will take care of the rest. And next moment I was under and in blink of an eye when I wake up, he surgery is done and 12 years of agony is gone!!!! Post-surgery I stayed there overnight and was taken care of by excellent team of caring sisters Ramya and Nisha. Got to say these two weeks have been simply the happiest I was since a long time and the only thing I wonder was why it took me so much time to do it. Few changes I enjoyed post-surgery were not going to buy oversized clothes anymore. Going to wear a lot of funky T-shirts and stuffs. Not to be overtly self conscious while driving bike. Not going to keep on shrugging my shoulders anymore. I can be happy again. Must say self confidence level has increased exponentially and mighty thanks to Dr. Joyce, Dr. Anitha, Dr. Srivastava, Dr.Pankaj, sister Ramya and sister Nisha and brother Sathish (for all the help through mobile alerts). And of course to Dr. Karthik sir to give an another chance to look and live my life in a better way (and academically too you are very much inspiring me to take surgery as future). So, to anyone with this issue reading this please don't waste another day and just start with a consultation with CPS and trust me you are in for smooth ride which will change your life forever!!! I am from Chennai. I had gyno problem since childhood. I realised and felt uncomfortable once I finished schooling since I cannot wear normal shirts and T-shirts. Even if I wear I felt odd since friends or colleagues who are close sometimes make fun of it. Though they don't mean it, I felt bad. I used to wear two tight baniyans to hide my problem and need to spend an additional 30 min on this whenever I go outside. I had Grade 2 I think. I couldn't hang out with friends since was afraid they will make fun of me. I generally don't go to swimming nor walk straight. Though I know about gyno surgery I was afraid of it. My family also never pointed this issue as they felt it's not a problem at all . When my parents were away for one month, I thought I will do surgery since I was working from home. I just googled and went next day to Tamira after taking appointment. I requested them that I need to do surgery with in next three days. They did all blood tests and informed that iam good to undergo surgery. Within 3 days I undergone surgery. The morning was surgery. I was discharged at evening. I took myself a cab and reached home. For one month it was little difficult to manage all myself but I did it. After one month I became normal and started slowly to work out.I started wearing tight shirts. It's almost three months after surgery I am making this comment. Hats off to Jayanthy mam and their team. You changed my life. I had an inferior complexity all these days which got completely destroyed just in one month. Now I speak to anyone bold and brisk.
