So my natural career path progression was to study beauty and I gained my NVQ Level 2 in this field when I was nineteen years old. A fter this I became a hairdresser working in the North West of England in the most desirable salons including Steven Burgin and Andrew Collinge in Manchester, becoming a hair colour specialist in this time. After spending 10 years hairdressing I became a teacher at skill solutions Manchester teaching others how to cut hair to the highest level. Three years ago I decided to become a semi permanent make up artist but could not fulfil my dream as I had to take some time out when my husband and I started a family. I’m now a fully qualified semi permanent make up artist obtaining the highest level of qualification in this field NVQ Level 4 in Micropigmentation and have also learnt advanced techniques training with Finishing Touches. The transferable skills I have acquired being a colour specialist within hairdressing have made the transition to semi permanent Make Up easier as I am able to match colours effectively to the skin tone of the client.
