What are Varicose Veins?

Varicose veins, also known as varicosities, are thick and dark blue or purple veins that are seen in the lower limbs of patients. They are caused by damaged or poorly functioning valves within the veins. Surgical and nonsurgical procedures are used to treat varicose veins.

How are Varicose Veins treated?

Varicose veins are treated by making patients wear compression stockings, by helping them to lose weight, by sclerotherapy, injecting  a chemical into the vein to make it collapse, laser and radiofrequency assisted procedures, phlebectomy procedures, where veins are removed by making small cuts on the surface of the skin and by surgical procedures involving tying or stripping of the varicose veins.

Are Varicose Vein treatments painful?

Minimally invasive treatments for varicose veins are performed after administering local anaesthetic to the treatment area. Surgical varicose vein removal procedures are performed under general anaesthesia. Patients will not feel any pain during the procedures.

When will I recover after Varicose Veins treatments?

It takes about five weeks to completely recover from minimally invasive and surgical varicose vein treatments.

What care is required after Varicose Vein treatments?

Patients should take all prescribed medications correctly. They should wear compression stockings to prevent blood clots. They should not wear tight clothing or high heeled shoes. They should elevate their legs while sitting. They should not smoke or drink alcohol. They should not gain weight after varicose vein treatments. They should avoid strenuous exercise and lifting heavy objects for at least two weeks.

Rating from 30 Reviews I felt comfortable being thereWilhelmina, South Korea, 08 Jun 17

I had the varicose vein treatment: Sclerotherapy in one leg. It was a good treatment and a very good price!! They also did the ultrasound diagnosis included in the price and this diagnosis was to see if I had any other vein problems etc, it felt very thorough! So far, I'm waiting to see the results as it has only been two weeks but there is the option for repeat treatments if necessary as well(also I got a pair of compression stockings included in the price!) The clinic was very clean and professional looking. I felt comfortable being there and going forward with the treatment

Varicose Veins Treatment ₩300000  -  ₩3000000
Varicose veins are twisted, enlarged veins near the surface of the skin. They are most common in the legs and ankles. They usually aren’t serious, but they can sometimes lead to other problems. Varicose veins are caused by weakened valves and veins in your legs. Normally, one-way valves in your veins keep blood flowing from your legs up toward your heart. When these valves do not work as they should, blood collects in your legs, and pressure builds up. The veins become weak, large, and twisted. Evita Clinic is variable methods - Medication, Sclerotherapy, Phlebectomy, Closurefast(RF) ablation, Venaseal Closure
Radiofrequency Ablation of Varicose Veins ₩1500000  -  ₩3000000
Evita Clinic use the ClosureFast™ procedure it is a radiofrequency energy to precisely and effectively treat patients suffering from chronic venous insufficiency (CVI).The ClosureFast™ procedure eliminates the need for groin surgery and general anesthesia, and is generally performed using local anesthesia in a vein specialist’s office or an outpatient surgical facility. The procedure takes approximately 45-60 minutes and most patients typically spend two to three hours at the medical facility due to normal pre- and post-treatment procedures. ClosureFast™ procedure is associated with lower rates of pain, bruising and complications and a faster improvement in patients’ quality of life when compared to 980 nm laser ablation. The average patient typically resumes normal activities within a few days following treatment, and most patients report a noticeable improvement in their symptoms within 1-2 weeks after the ClosureFast™ procedure. FASTER RECOVERYPatients treated with the ClosureFast™ Procedure may resume normal activities more quickly than patients who undergo surgical vein stripping or 980 nm laser ablation.  With the ClosureFast™ Procedure, the average patient typically resumes normal activities within a few days. For a few weeks following the treatment, your vein specialist may recommend a regular walking regimen and suggest you refrain from very strenuous activities (heavy lifting, for example) or prolonged periods of standing.
