Gastric bypass to band.There can be cases of weight regain or insufficient weight loss after a Gastric Bypass has taken place. In order to add more restriction or malabsorption, two potential procedures to consider are:• Conversion Band to bypass• Conversion Sleeve to bypass• CONVERSION OF LAPROSOCPIC BAND TO EITHER A BYPASS OR A SLEEVE - Revision Surgery• CONVERSION OF A BYPASS TO A LAPROSOCPIC BAND - Revision SurgeryIn the  case of weight regain, or insufficient weight loss, a conversion or also called revision surgery from an initial  weight loss operation to a Gastric Bypass is certainly possible.In most cases a conversion of an adjustable gastric banding to a Gastric Bypass can take place in one procedure. There are circumstances where  two interventions are necessary and this is when the gastric wall of your stomach where the band has been placed, is too fragile to form a new connection between your small bowel and that part of your upper stomach where the band was placed.Here at Tonic we understand and cater to each individual patient’s needs. Gastric Bypass is a type of weight losssurgery that works by making your stomach smaller and bypassing part of yourbowel to make your digestive system shorter. This will mean that you can onlyeat small meals. Your body will take up fewer calories from the food that youeat.Some patients are not suitable for keyholesurgery and so a conventional ‘open’ operation will be performed. The importantthing to remember is that your operation is performed safely. Depending on the technique used, you will needto stay in hospital about three to five days.

The gastric bypass or stomach bypass is one of the surgical techniques for treating morbid obesity. Alongside purely restrictive techniques, such as gastric banding, and largely malabsorptive techniques, such as Biliopancreatic Derivation by Scopinaro, this is a combined technique. As with a purely restrictive intervention such as the adjustable gastric band, this surgery is largely a restriction of the food intake, with reduced digestion a less important factor. Prof Siba Senapati & his team have been amazing from the beginning. I decided weight loss surgery was my only option after many years of failed diets. I had gastric bypass surgery 10/04/2019 and it was the best decision for me it has been life-changing my confidence and self-esteem has been at an all-time high and I'm feeling much fitter and healthier too. I'm enjoying life with my husband and children nothing is holding me back I am 10months post-surgery and already reached my goal weight my journey hasn't been easy it takes hard work and a lot of changes the surgery is only a tool to help you but it's you who has to use it in the best way to achieve great results Its made me the happiest I have ever been but I'm very grateful to Prof Siba Senapati & his team who have been excellent they helped me through this life-changing surgery and the aftercare has been amazing highly recommend I'm grateful for their support and care can't thank them enough my life now is much happier and healthier.

Brilliant service. Dr Awad went through all the questions I had and was full of information. Rachel’s initial discussions made so much sense about the pros and cons of a sleeve in comparison to a band. The aftercare package is the best on the market when I Compare. I think I will be going with them for my procedure in May/June 2021. Quote price £10250. Brilliant.
