Collette has been my angel today. After getting a piece of beef stuck in my band and not being able to get any fluids down at all in over 24 hours I contacted Collette who was recommended by a friend. I explained I was feeling poorly, losing weight dangerously quickly and shaking from dehydration and she had me in clinic within a few hours. In-person she’s so so lovely and informative!! She gave me a pain-free defill after very quickly finding my port and oh the relief!! My health was deteriorating fast and I honestly think I’d of been in hospital by tomorrow if she hadn’t worked her magic. Thank you so so much, my little rounded water-filled belly is so grateful 😘

All I can say is this lady is an angel. I'm a veteran lap bandee with 8 years under my belt. My band has been fine for a while then the last 7 weeks unable to keep food, drink, medication or even at times my own saliva. I rapidly lost weight and was at my witts end. I contacted Colette who was swift in her reply and within a couple of hours, I had an appointment to see her. At the clinic they always struggled to get to my port, however, Colette was in and out in seconds, followed by exercises to ensure the fluid and port were okay. She offered dietary advice also and was just all-around brilliant, I can't praise her enough. I'm now sitting here happily drinking my water with no issue. I will definitely be going back to see Colette when I'm ready to have my band adjustment in the future. Thanks again.

Having developed high blood pressure at an early age of 23 and having lots of tests carried out with no real answers, I began to question my weight. A few years passed after trying various different well-known diets and failed miserably. I gained more weight if anything! I came across Mr Hamouda after a recommendation from a close family member who has also had a sleeve operation - losing close to 8st in under a year, she has also maintained this weight for nearly 18 months. On my initial consultation with Hamouda, I felt at ease and was able to disclose any personal issues relating to eating disorders. My wife and my 8-month-old child were all welcome. He likes to invite close family members to your appointments as he likes you to have support from your loved ones, I thought that he would find my child annoying throughout the consultation but Dr Hamouda was the complete opposite. Once I was accepted for my sleeve operation I was put under the careful care of he's team who were all brilliant at every stage. The support was there for me before, during and now after my operation. The care at Benenden was outstanding, treated like a king in his own hotel room! 1-1 care, nothing was a problem and would recommend this hospital for anyone thinking of weight loss surgery. Since my operation just over a year ago I have lost nearly 9st. Without a sleeve operation, this would never of happen. My BMI has dropped by 15 and has lost over 60 inches around my whole body. If anyone for some reason is questioning Dr Hamouda or weight loss surgery then don’t! Dr Hamouda not only changed my life but allowed me to start living it again. In the words of my wife, “ he’s like a new man now “ This just leaves me to say THANK YOU! You are an outstanding consultant and a genuine hero of mine.
