Duodenal Switch  
Duodenal switch surgery is a surgical operation that combines both sleeve gastrectomy and gastric bypass. The process is carried out in two steps. First, a sleeve gastrectomy is performed in which approximately 80% of the stomach is removed, and the remainder is formed into a thin tube. As a result, the stomach with a volume of 1.5-2 L takes the form of a light and long line with a volume of about 120 ml. This part of the surgery is now an irreversible surgical procedure.
Gastric Bypass  
Gastric bypass surgery is one of the most common bariatric surgical procedures. The most frequent kind of combination surgery is a laparoscopic gastric bypass (R-YGB). Gastric bypass surgery is one of the treatments that has gained recognition due to its favorable outcomes in bariatric surgery. While the stomach capacity is lowered with this procedure, nutritional absorption is reduced because the distance taken in the small intestine is shorter. In the first step, this operation disables 90% of the stomach in the morbidly obese (deadly condition) patient. The remaining 10% of the stomach is roughly the size of a “cup,” and it is 130-150 cm ahead of the small intestine (which is 600cm long on average) with the second motion (60-80% of sugar and fat are absorbed from this region, and the objective is to eliminate sugar and fat).
Gastric Band  
In the Adjustable Gastric Band, popularly known as the stomach clamp method, a band made of silicone is placed around the stomach, approximately 20 mm below the junction of the esophagus and the stomach. The inner wall of the band is like an elongated balloon or bicycle tire. This balloon is connected to a port placed under the skin via a thin tube. The Adjustable Gastric Band is left deflated during the surgery but is gradually inflated approximately one month later with serum injections from the subcutaneous port. In this way, the size of the gastric passage can change with a simple intervention after the surgery.

I am from the UK and I had my gastric sleeve in December 2019. I was very nervous but was put to ease straight away when I spoke to my surgeon Dr Kaplan Bahar. I had various health issues and was honest from the get-go. My wonderful doctor reassured me that they knew about these conditions that I had and they had the experience and expertise to deal with my concerns and conditions. So I went ahead and booked my flights and never looked back. It was the best decision I had ever made. The hospital staff were helpful and caring and the dietician was fantastic up until now always there if needed. The hospital was clean the environment too. I had my own room and my own toilet. I am now 7 and a half stones lighter and feel much better. I would like to thank Dr Kaplan and his team for their hard work in helping me better myself and improve my lifestyle and health. Thank you

I flew from the UK 14/02/24 for loop bibartician, Faith the co ordinator was amazing from me querying to booking everything, didnt hesitate to answer any of my questions at all. The transfer was there ready and waiting, took us straight to the hospital. I was booked in and taken up to my room. The hospital, ward was absolutely spotless, me and my auntie was given a 3 course meal straight away at 9pm and I had to fast from midnight. I Cannot fault the care I had from start to finish, the nurses were exceptional and couldn't do enough, Doctor Bora is one of the nicest gentlemen I have ever met, I saw him quite a lot throughout my stay during my pre-ops, surgery and post-surgery, the dietician was so lovely and went through my diet plans with me and even organised for me to have protein powder delivered to my room(£35 for 30 servings) The pre op tests were so thorough and the whole experience of going down to theatre on surgery day 16th was completely professional. Faith messaged me good luck for my operation and messaged to see how I was after. I cannot fault anything and my whole experience was way more than expected .. Im now 6 days post op and feeling so good cant wait to have my first weigh in tomorrow. No regrets at all .. Go for it!
