BASIC provides specialist centre-based rehabilitation services for people who have sustained brain and spinal injuries. I am a Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapist with over 28 years experience helping people understand and overcome their psychological problems. I specialise in the treatment of Obsessive Spectrum Disorders. These include Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, Pure O (Intrusive Thoughts), Body Dysmorphic Disorder, Muscle Dysmorphia and Health Anxiety. I do also treat other psychological problems.I am committed to ensuring that every patient I see receives the best treatment to help them overcome their problems. Everyone is an individual and needs a tailor made programme based on the most effective treatment techniques.  I work from my private clinic in the centre of Manchester treating patients and supervising therapists. Previous to this I have worked in the NHS and at the Priory Hospital North London. I also lectured at the University of Chester for 7 years in the psychology department training new CBT therapists.
