I am originally from Dublin. I am married with two adult sons. I have a deep sense of connection with nature which goes back to my early childhood and feel very lucky to live in this beautiful countryside. I also love reading and keeping up to date with the latest insights and learning in psychotherapy. I am passionate about the work I do as a psychotherapist. I also trained as a group facilitator and I facilitate bereavement groups in Clonakilty . I have completed the H.S.E Assist course. I am on the panel of counsellors for West Cork Woman against violence and also Coisceim/Shep. I have had the pleasure and privilege to work as a special needs assistant in a boys national school for over ten years . The children in my care taught me so much about kindness patience, the importance being real and genuine and that true compassion is a verb !!! My approach is humanistic and practical one could say down to earth.Through my own life experience, academic learning, and many hours working with clients I firmly believe that we all have our own inner wisdom and ability to heal and change and I fully respect where you are coming from with your particular issue and your life challenges
