The Samuel Maynard Centre

He is the Clinical Director of the Centre. He has the overall responsibility for the day to day running of the clinics and maintaining a high standard of quality care at the Centre. His background is in Psychological Medicine with a specific interest in psychological syquelae of traum. He has extensive experience in the assessment and diagnosis of mental health problems and has been widely published.

He is a consultant psychiatrist of considerable experience. He has a particular interest in Learning Disability Psychiatry. He is the Medical Director of Brookdale Care and has held positions as a substantive consultant within the NHS since 1984. He is a Fellow of the Royal College of Psychiatrists and approved under section 12 of the mental health Act.

He is a Senior Consultant Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist with over 30 years experience in the treatment of children’s mental health. He is the Past medical director of the Brookside Young People’s Unit and the Specialist Advisor the NE region in Adolescent Psychiatry. He has been published extensively in relevant scientific Journals since 1987.
