I have never visited this surgery before and its very busy so very happy I went early as the receptionist desk was having problems. When directed to go through glass doors please be aware they are not full glass doors but small glass panels. But overall good impression and treatment room is very private.

Osteopath Consultation
Your initial consultation will take around 50 minutes. Before your actual osteopathic treatment commences you will be asked some questions about yourself and your general health (both past & present), medical history including operations and illnesses, and any medications you are taking. It is important that your osteopath can see and feel not only the area causing your problems, but also other areas of your body that may be related to your condition. Therefore, you will probably be asked to undress down to your underwear for examination and treatment. Please feel free to wear loose fitting shorts and a vest top if you will be more comfortable. During the clinical examination you will be asked to perform certain simple movements so your osteopath can observe the effects of your condition. Further examination, such as blood pressure, reflexes, joint mobility and muscle strength may also be conducted. The experienced osteopath will then use a highly developed sense of touch, called palpation, to identify any points of weakness or excessive strain throughout the body. Your osteopath will make a diagnosis which will be discussed with you, and then treatment is given, if appropriate.

565 Warwick Road, Solihull, B91 1AW
Rating from 2 Reviews Given great advice and a set of exercisesMatt, UK, 10 Mar 16

First visit. Consultation and treatment. Very thorough. Listened, understood and gave a very professional diagnosis, in my humble opinion. A visual inspection of movements followed by manipulation (massage) of spinal area. Given great advice and a set of exercises. I left with much more knowledge and with the feeling that I, with a little help, could learn to manage my condition. Enjoyable experience from reception to clinic. Adequate parking but an easy walk from Solihull town centre. Great staff showing an easy combination of friendliness and professionalism. I felt very welcome and comfortable and left fully satisfied.

Osteopractitioner - Tanworth in Arden - Osteopathic Clinic in the UK

Osteopractitioner - Tanworth in Arden

The Birches, Broad Lane, Tanworth-in-Arden, B94 5DY
What is Osteopathy? Osteopathy is a system of diagnosis and treatment for a wide range of medical conditions. It works with the structure and function of the body, and is based on the principle that the well-being of an individual depends on the skeleton, muscles, ligaments and connective tissues functioning smoothly together’ Osteopaths use various techniques, physical manipulation, stretching and massage to increase the mobility of joints, to relieve muscle tension, to enhance the blood and nerve supply to tissues, and to help your body’s own healing mechanisms. They may also provide advice on posture and exercise to aid recovery, promote health and prevent symptoms recurring. How can Osteopathy help you? An Osteopath’s main tool is their hands, used to identify abnormalities in the structure and function of a body, and to assess areas of weakness, tenderness, restriction or strain. By physical examination and assessing the movement and functioning of the body, your osteopath can diagnose and discuss with you the most appropriate treatment plan, estimating the likely number of sessions needed to treat your condition effectively. By using Osteopathic techniques as a form of treatment it can work with your body’s ability to heal itself and help to restore the natural equilibrium. Treatment can range from relaxing and releasing muscle tension and stretching tight muscle tissue. Gentle massage and rhythmic movements applied to restricted joints in the spine
